Karen Burniston November 2022 Designer Challenge - Snowman!

Hello and welcome to another Designer Challenge. For the month of November, our challenge Snowman! I am so excited to share with you my Designer Challenge card.

To be honest, I had a hard time coming up with something for this challenge and I love snowmen! If you were to take a peek under my basement stairs, you would find SEVERAL large snowmen Christmas decorations. They really are my favorite. So, it was really making me frustrated that I couldn't think of something to create. This card was really born because I sat in my office and just played around with some ideas.

For this card, I made a slim line sized card and used Karen Burniston's Little Labels Pop-Up die. I used this really cute, patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs called Winter Wonderland as the background for this card and die cut it using Karen Burniston's Long Rectangles - Crosshatch dies in the largest size. I die cut the pop-up mechanism from some light purple cardstock and glued that into the inside of the card. I die cut the pieces that go on the pop-up mechanism from a darker colored pattern paper from the same Doodlebug Design paper pack.

For the base of the pop-up mechanism, I stamped the sentiment "Let it Snow" from Lawn Fawns Winter Wavy Sayings with VersaMark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.

I die cut a white piece using the Long Rectangles - Crosshatch to make an area to sign the card. I stamped the "sending Joy for the holidays" from Lawn Fawn's Merry Messages stamp set.

I die cut the snowmen from Karen Burniston's Snowman die and added them to the pop-up mechanism. I tried to make them each a little different. I added a small snowflake to the nose of the middle snowman and added other snowflakes, die cut from white glitter paper, around the snowmen.  I added some shadow to the snowmen using my Copic markers.

For the front of this card, I used the same patterned paper for the background. I die cut the word "winter" from Karen Burniston's Alphabet die set. I die cut "winter" twice from black cardstock and once from white glitter cardstock. Then I glued the layers together with Lineco Neutral pH glue and added them to my card front. I stamped the word "warm" and "wishes" from Lawn Fawn's Merry Messages using VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock. Then I embossed the words with white embossing powder and added them to the card.

I die cut two more snowmen and added them to the front, trimming any part of the snowman that went over the edge of the patterned paper.

I just love how well this card turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
