My card for you today features Karen Burniston's Lorna Label die set. This is a new release die that was part of the February spring release. Along with the Lorna Label die set, I also used the Flutter Charms and Fun Flowers!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPqRbB0YqR9ef5unAxNh_4mkIDnDpAkiUI-6fypHMSKc_iYA3ptqUBOA7FSJuDyj1TBy_IcSiyng0zELh9ja7K3vIHJsGAAixzCIZA0bvRVjjGSCyyZYOPFt1f_UsSj1rgIsu5VAlHdE9QDXMYSRzzWq3re2fnjPbQ93ZPLqVBu3H-WfLXZEP40RBq3D4/s4032/Happy%20Bee-Day%20Card-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPqRbB0YqR9ef5unAxNh_4mkIDnDpAkiUI-6fypHMSKc_iYA3ptqUBOA7FSJuDyj1TBy_IcSiyng0zELh9ja7K3vIHJsGAAixzCIZA0bvRVjjGSCyyZYOPFt1f_UsSj1rgIsu5VAlHdE9QDXMYSRzzWq3re2fnjPbQ93ZPLqVBu3H-WfLXZEP40RBq3D4/w480-h640/Happy%20Bee-Day%20Card-2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><p>For this card, I started with and A2 top fold card base using Neenah Classic Crest 110lb smooth white cardstock. I recently purchased this beautiful patterned paper pack from Echo Park called "Bee Happy" and let me tell you, this gorgeous paper really makes me happy! I couldn't wait to use it. I added a black thin cardstock to the background to really make the patterned paper pop. </p><p>I die cut the Lorna Label pop-up mechanism from the same thin black cardstock (65lb). Then using the accompanying dies in the set, die cut a yellow and white piece for the centre. I also die cut the yellow banner that goes along with bottom of the pop-up. I tried to use a bright yellow cardstock for this. This was just some scrap cardstock I had. I save all my scraps just for this purpose. </p><p>I then die cut the squares for the base of the card and to create an area to sign this card. I used Karen Burniston's Square - Crosshatch dies in the largest and second largest dies. I used the same yellow and white cardstock for this. </p><p>I die cut the sentiment using Karen Burniston's Word Set 2 - Birthday die set. I used a glossy black cardstock. I had to do some "word surgery" to create the word "Bee". </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQ3WcpEWY1nC58j8rNB3Ht-EblFv52ldK5zmcxptoYF-jB7tlf_y2UegtJLpA4RIZ7ahFKs91BWiHrAHPeU6MCvECwZaaxq7ns_WlBcJiu_KuoFHRSo3OaFv97XMXbtPwL7nYM0iEHmVVdFDof3JZ8Y_U5BmqUYRTg-7rxNijUWRZx_Cqj8mU-4rhPWk/s3620/Happy%20Bee-Day%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3620" data-original-width="2922" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsQ3WcpEWY1nC58j8rNB3Ht-EblFv52ldK5zmcxptoYF-jB7tlf_y2UegtJLpA4RIZ7ahFKs91BWiHrAHPeU6MCvECwZaaxq7ns_WlBcJiu_KuoFHRSo3OaFv97XMXbtPwL7nYM0iEHmVVdFDof3JZ8Y_U5BmqUYRTg-7rxNijUWRZx_Cqj8mU-4rhPWk/w323-h400/Happy%20Bee-Day%20Card2.jpg" width="323" /></a></div>I then used Karen Burniston's Flutter Charms, Fun Flowers and the largest flower die from her Flower Pot Pop-Up die set and die cut all the bees, flowers, etc. I used smooth heavy weight white cardstock and colored all the pieces in using Copic markers. <div><br /></div><div>For the front of the card, I used a stamped sentiment from gina K Designs called "Beautiful Bees". </div><div><br /></div><div>I continued the same design on the front of the card, only adding some honey comb to the top and bottom corners. </div><div><br /></div><div>I added Glitter gel to the daisy flower petals and I also added Glossy Accents to the bees bodies to give them some added dimension. </div><div><br /></div><div>I just love how this card turned out. Those little bees are adorable!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting! Also, I have a YouTube channel, so be sure to check out how I make this cards step by step. I also will be posting how to videos as well, such as how to take the amazing animal dies that Karen Burniston has and create clothes or turn them into other things, like I did in my tea cup Alice in Wonderland card. My card for you today uses Spellbinders Mason Jar and Lavender die set. This set has everything you need to create a beautiful card for any occasion. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiahR2dbV9_Zf3lRFLxwwHujhgS0ca79znsMRWyAZdUSLIJWwNPVR5pLrzxQ_qIax7GB3Kf3nWFIHEHys94ICML_iUIHF_LtANRP-hrVzqZuB0oY1-f8VCKiFen_3aIIbcXBerE0Af9wu_TmArFgAU84zH-45wwVjYCPzZiufZK2ISqUd6ZidIfoyr-AEQ/s4032/Sending%20Hugs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiahR2dbV9_Zf3lRFLxwwHujhgS0ca79znsMRWyAZdUSLIJWwNPVR5pLrzxQ_qIax7GB3Kf3nWFIHEHys94ICML_iUIHF_LtANRP-hrVzqZuB0oY1-f8VCKiFen_3aIIbcXBerE0Af9wu_TmArFgAU84zH-45wwVjYCPzZiufZK2ISqUd6ZidIfoyr-AEQ/w480-h640/Sending%20Hugs.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I decided to make a slim line card. With how tall this die set is, this is probably the best card size to really show off the lavender. </p><p>I used Neenah Classic Crest, heavy weight (110lb) smooth white cardstock for the card base. Then, using the same cardstock, I cut two rectangles for the backgrounds of my card. </p><p>I used Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Lemonade and Sunbeam along with MFT's Basket Weaves stencil to create my background. </p><p>I die cut the mason jar using a heavy weight vellum. I also die cut the mason jar using a blue vellum to use as water in the jar. Then I die cut the leaves and stems using green cardstock then went over the cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness. </p><p>I die cut the flower from a dark and light purple. Normally, I would color my die cuts but this was a lot of little tiny die cuts, so I decided to keep things simple. I glued everything together and added it to the card front. I think I should have added more flowers to the lavender plants. </p><p>I used Honey Bee Stamps - Bitty Buzzwords to create the sentiment. I used VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder and black cardstock with white embossing powder. </p><p>Lastly, I added a bow using some Jute Twine. I love how pretty this card turned out. But I do think next time I would add more flowers and color them by hand, as time consuming as that would be. Or even maybe use glitter cardstock. </p><p>Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!</p>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-75337387893665573492024-03-18T06:00:00.000-07:002024-03-18T06:00:00.278-07:00Easter Scene using Karen Burniston's Landscape Rectangle Accordion!<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card for you today uses Karen Burniston's Landscape Rectangle Accordion, along with the Fence Add-On, Easter Borders, Spring Animals and Easter Charms. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Rm0FXEradDNdDZlSwbj_2P2OItcaH3AMaywgzfFjip9OCKLH90TsK727SkCq6re97w2hm2PJn9QN562ZbI6sD6YywSc2jSoeL3NYTSSLIIlwdHQO1SNL4Zp2D7TP_fcsnyzRctKvaSPuiTvlZkH_iQhyphenhyphen4g23E-3gjXeBvym2_jbiZ50EWdg35EeSMF4/s4032/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1934" data-original-width="4032" height="306" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Rm0FXEradDNdDZlSwbj_2P2OItcaH3AMaywgzfFjip9OCKLH90TsK727SkCq6re97w2hm2PJn9QN562ZbI6sD6YywSc2jSoeL3NYTSSLIIlwdHQO1SNL4Zp2D7TP_fcsnyzRctKvaSPuiTvlZkH_iQhyphenhyphen4g23E-3gjXeBvym2_jbiZ50EWdg35EeSMF4/w640-h306/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>For this card, I started by die-cutting three rectangular panels using the dies from Karen Burniston's Landscape Rectangle Accordion die set. I used Neenah Classic Crest heavy weight (110lb) smooth white cardstock for this. </p><p>Then, using a gingham patterned paper in blue and Karen Burniston's Short Rectangle - Crosshatch dies, I created borders for each of my accordion pieces. </p><p>I then used Karen Burniston's Fence Add-On die and cut three fence pieces. I cut these from the same heavy weight smooth cardstock as the accordion pieces. With my Copic marker (E40 - Brick White) I added shade lines to the fence pieces. This gives the fence some dimension. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidmelGQPbArboXMIVUlOFhkvoKmHRcecPUUwz-zaPzTwzrxd0ZGJEcyr2m4_HmzEVxje-lXzqheUuxuniSlVzjbrgDXJH_PaugbZUVAGvHOSQ00PuGEfy3sPxufUqbfDC_ah7vShRoxmNG2tUijwdRvHbs3r6p1r37BOQhz3orALurZzkKugQpUvKWBtw/s4032/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion2.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidmelGQPbArboXMIVUlOFhkvoKmHRcecPUUwz-zaPzTwzrxd0ZGJEcyr2m4_HmzEVxje-lXzqheUuxuniSlVzjbrgDXJH_PaugbZUVAGvHOSQ00PuGEfy3sPxufUqbfDC_ah7vShRoxmNG2tUijwdRvHbs3r6p1r37BOQhz3orALurZzkKugQpUvKWBtw/w400-h300/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>I glued on the patterned paper trim to all the accordion pieces and trimmed the areas where the fence pieces will go. <div><br /></div><div>I set this aside and began to die cut the accessory pieces using Karen Burniston's Easter Charms, Spring Animals, Easter Borders and Happy Easter die set. I cut everything from the same heavy weight smooth white cardstock. I then colored all the pieces using Copic markers. For more of an idea on how I did this, check out the video posted at the end of this blog. I set these aside. </div><div><br /></div><div>For the Easter sentiment, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio.</div><div>I began to add all my pieces together, gluing them down using Lineco Neutral pH glue. I thought my spring themed card needed some little flowers added to it, so I used the small flower die that comes with Karen Burniston's Tiny Trees Pop-Up die set. I colored these with Copic markers as well. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2F5KF5T2EpFQDdqyWYBaTmQWSThN3i0G2mPSfjVIxtnfhgIvIk4AGafcJK9wDfN-TlZGvNYv-TpIcO_YcWkUnQvyj3O9CKQLxZHbq8cfZT4kCcPUWo0cImB_uumf37R90MijRq8OPO7Dm1DM-bm_VSPSp55lvcK0OShnznnQD6Rm1CX9FOgG6Vur4c5k/s4032/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion3.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2F5KF5T2EpFQDdqyWYBaTmQWSThN3i0G2mPSfjVIxtnfhgIvIk4AGafcJK9wDfN-TlZGvNYv-TpIcO_YcWkUnQvyj3O9CKQLxZHbq8cfZT4kCcPUWo0cImB_uumf37R90MijRq8OPO7Dm1DM-bm_VSPSp55lvcK0OShnznnQD6Rm1CX9FOgG6Vur4c5k/w400-h300/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>After gluing down all my little cute Easter pieces, I added a place to write a sentiment to the recipient. I used the frame die that comes with the Landscape Accordion die, using a pale blue cardstock for the frame with a white center. <div><br /></div><div>Then I began to assemble the card. I glued the fence pieces together carefully. These are tiny pieces that hold everything together, so you have to be very careful that nothing falls apart. </div><div><br /></div><div>Once the card was assembled, I tested it by folding it open and closed a few times to get it use to the glue holds. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC89vsAMQlD7yDN0_hNQXUvMfOszS-Q8nuZAX9HGcMpBfnkv4AY958jezPyi2kJzBpgrn_pkwHqypRx7lf10Qx97kZWKaTBzSY_BVWmUeKmECDt037J31TwTnYUQhLMDGO7B3_2bozHY6f4X9_EHTlOv_FrZ0uImvhOJY8V2RFVuK2pZGwoKeOxCxmc4Q/s3783/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion4.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2724" data-original-width="3783" height="288" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC89vsAMQlD7yDN0_hNQXUvMfOszS-Q8nuZAX9HGcMpBfnkv4AY958jezPyi2kJzBpgrn_pkwHqypRx7lf10Qx97kZWKaTBzSY_BVWmUeKmECDt037J31TwTnYUQhLMDGO7B3_2bozHY6f4X9_EHTlOv_FrZ0uImvhOJY8V2RFVuK2pZGwoKeOxCxmc4Q/w400-h288/Easter%20Rectangle%20Accordion4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>I just love the colors on this card. I think making Easter cards are in my top 5 cards to make. I'm not normally a fan of the pale colors (if you seen me in public, I wear all black all the time lol) but the Easter colors are just so beautiful. <div><br /></div><div>I also really love the new Easter Borders that Karen came out with in her new release. I used the carrot border to add carrots to the panels. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope that you find inspiration here. I die cut a rectangle from heavy weight smooth white cardstock (Neenah Classic Crest 110lb) using MFT - A2 Double Stitched Rectangle STAX die in the largest size. </p><p>I die cut a second rectangle using the same die, only from green cardstock this time. I used my MFT - Cloud stencil and Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers to create a sky background. </p><p>I then die cut the Lovely Lily of the Valley pieces using heavy weight smooth white cardstock. I colored these in using Copic markers. </p><p>I die cut the watering can using a gray cardstock and using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Wet Cement, I added some detail to the watering can. </p><p>I die cut the gardening tools from a mirrored silver cardstock and added colored ends to them. I also die cut the seed packet from some scrap pink cardstock and added some Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. I also added an extra Lily of the Valley to the front to match the flowers. </p><p>I used Lawn Fawn's Simple Wavy Banners and Wavy Sayings along with silver embossing powder to create the Happy Birthday banner. </p><p>How beautiful are those flowers!! I just love die cut flowers on cards. It just adds to much beauty to the cards we create. For this card, I started with an A2 sized cardbase using a pale blue cardstock. I die cut a rectangle of heavy weight smooth white cardstock using MFT - A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX dies in the largest size. Then using my Glimmer Hot Foil machine and Spellbinders Glimmer - Essential Duo Lines Rectangles, I added a metalic blue border around the card background. </p><p>I die cut the umbrella using a bright yellow and pale yellow cardstock. I also added white cardstock for the stripes on the umbrella. </p><p>I die cut the flowers from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb heavy weight cardstock and colored them in using Copic markers, as shown below in the video. Once I had all the flowers colored, I began to put them together inside the umbrella. I glued everything together, then glued the entire piece to my card background.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwTChmcIEAySKZvRKMXwNpIrbqOC1mUoHQCVMOWE_vwXRzeBEe1U5AZUpLqBvhPjotxjx2jOlkk05AzBPVDng' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I stamped my Hello sentiment to the top of the card, using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink. Then I stamped the other sentiment onto black cardstock using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. </p><p>Lastly, I added some clear "bling" to my card. This card turned out so bright and cheerful. The perfect pick me up for someone who isn't feeling well. Spring is just around the corner and I am so excited to start my seeds for my vegetable garden. This is why I just love the new Spring release from Lawn Fawn. For my card today I used their new Veggie Happy stamp set, Veggie Happy Add-On and Hay There stamp set along with Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Die set. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii8dozJepyXTRrjCIck1_phBFYXBIEc3vjO2mEMiQ6JXJjRgsMlVEASm8sgaDBl-Mb2pGNuFynLn3prIaZHU6J0IAu1kizflrSoLJ3aXCGztyKLzR8FU1FdNzt-aEAyKwCIEANohW9qZDUYF5-5r97DTgdVZ9a4v1AzVLCbUTWkakgNEpMAAG6jCguSpA/s4032/Veggie%20Happy%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii8dozJepyXTRrjCIck1_phBFYXBIEc3vjO2mEMiQ6JXJjRgsMlVEASm8sgaDBl-Mb2pGNuFynLn3prIaZHU6J0IAu1kizflrSoLJ3aXCGztyKLzR8FU1FdNzt-aEAyKwCIEANohW9qZDUYF5-5r97DTgdVZ9a4v1AzVLCbUTWkakgNEpMAAG6jCguSpA/w640-h480/Veggie%20Happy%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using Lawn Fawn's Ground Coffee cardstock. I used a green gingham patterned paper for a background. </p><p>I die cut Waffle Flowers Postage Collage from heavy weight smooth white cardstock (110lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White). Then I stamped my images, using masking paper to cover each image. I added a grassy and sky blue background to most of the postage areas. </p><p>I removed the masking paper and colored the images in with Copic markers. I wanted an area for a sentiment, so I added it to the long vertical postage section. I added some happy little veggies using Lawn Fawns Veggie Happy Add-On stamps. I used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks for the background. </p><p>These little mice just put a smile on my face. I just love all the different ways you can use this stamp set and how great it corresponds with Lawn Fawn's other great farm themed stamps. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting! </p>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-10193418127304566472024-03-08T11:17:00.000-08:002024-03-08T11:17:46.163-08:00Tea Cup Pop-Up Mothers Day Card<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome. My card for you today uses Karen Burniston's new Tea and Coffee Pop-Up die set to create this gorgeous pop-up tea cup Mothers Day card. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1kmVPsLgSPDwzqhuP-eU3SMNIlR5eHnKWAi1YCUN8FSV0IUBXEAOuREZGKT4CKKh_YRS81uUMGguBsxOZlP22qsoXjQyLYTnhWgwOOOfeHYbdIj7ou6OQ0gLAZTqU1pNjPidszk1QV8p4IKp2rSFIx-Ea9LqoGUkT5NaBIxDVo1_KvHbwjl8krQbnCF4/s3941/Tea%20Cup%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3941" data-original-width="2956" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1kmVPsLgSPDwzqhuP-eU3SMNIlR5eHnKWAi1YCUN8FSV0IUBXEAOuREZGKT4CKKh_YRS81uUMGguBsxOZlP22qsoXjQyLYTnhWgwOOOfeHYbdIj7ou6OQ0gLAZTqU1pNjPidszk1QV8p4IKp2rSFIx-Ea9LqoGUkT5NaBIxDVo1_KvHbwjl8krQbnCF4/w480-h640/Tea%20Cup%20Card.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">When I was a little girl, my Granny would bring out her good china whenever we were having a big family dinner, like on Christmas or Thanksgiving. She had all these beautiful Royal Doulton or Royal Albert tea cups and saucers. Some were trimmed with gold, but all of them had beautiful flowers painted on them. I always thought they were so beautiful. So when I seen the Tea and Coffee Pop-Up, I immediately thought of my Granny's cups and saucers. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For this card, I started with an A2 sized top fold card, using a smooth cream colored cardstock. I used a pretty pink patterned paper for the background of my card. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I die cut the tea cup from cream cardstock and from a pretty rose patterned paper, then added a trim of gold embossing powder around the edges to create the look like my Granny's tea cups. I glued all the pieces together adding additional die cut areas to give the tea cup and saucer some dimension. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I then die cut the tea bag, adding some lace ribbon to give it a look like an actual tea bag. I also die cut the spoon from a mirrored cardstock. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I dug through my dies and found these great dies from Spellbinders that I have had for years and never used them. One was the doily that I placed the pop-up on top of. This is a die set called Royal Circle. I also used another die set from Spellbinders to create the trim on the top and bottom of the card, called Graceful Fans. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I die cut some flowers and leaves using Karen Burniston's Fun Flowers die set, die cutting them from smooth white cardstock and coloring them in with Copic markers. I added these to the cup and saucer. Then I die cut the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from black and sparkly white cardstock. I glued them together to give the sentiment some dimension. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-_oAHL04rG6qP7ufraHZXxLRoLWu4CP2Pxvj9iOFnshw81cC6CEYFDL0bMa39xjMT7Se1f0tFHd6SbAbE4v-FtzfcuAEst23j4e_Yz6Lp482pca6G1UvSy0QvDzlLEdxbpojLx1ORL-EwdtGYRbR_TBqg6l78YMhiAYIF7DgAYolFlyXcrUytsbmT8N8/s3819/Tea%20Cup%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3819" data-original-width="2976" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-_oAHL04rG6qP7ufraHZXxLRoLWu4CP2Pxvj9iOFnshw81cC6CEYFDL0bMa39xjMT7Se1f0tFHd6SbAbE4v-FtzfcuAEst23j4e_Yz6Lp482pca6G1UvSy0QvDzlLEdxbpojLx1ORL-EwdtGYRbR_TBqg6l78YMhiAYIF7DgAYolFlyXcrUytsbmT8N8/w311-h400/Tea%20Cup%20Card2.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>For the front of my card, I kept with the same theme, adding another tea cup, just not as fancy. I stamped some sentiments on the front and added some more flowers to give the front some pop!<div><br /></div><div>I am very pleased with how well this card turned out. That gold trim on the tea cup and saucer came out so good. I will definitely do that again. </div><div><br /></div><div>I also love coloring in my die cuts, especially flowers, because you can give them a lot of detail, adding something special to your cards. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!! It's the start of March (can you believe it??) and that means it's Designer Challenge time once again. For the month of March, Karen Burniston challenged us to create a card with bunnies in it. So for my card, I used the Family Room Pop-Up to create a cute scene with the Easter Bunny hiding eggs for Easter morning. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOIh5mq0HEHuFKXbc_yYo-z-P7Tfkk7_gulndonB87acRC_mZk2QoSS8Vz-2Pf5IMoiRrz2vl5Ec_MINQgNQ6KSJt2a6tFXI-y3uYoAJN0TODnb-08QHitGpni43cUwhgPeyRUVvewDtTlme7z6Kpb7gOLVC4pAX9PTJ1O-h94sgtgGfewuJARBJxkjDk/s4032/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2288" data-original-width="4032" height="364" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOIh5mq0HEHuFKXbc_yYo-z-P7Tfkk7_gulndonB87acRC_mZk2QoSS8Vz-2Pf5IMoiRrz2vl5Ec_MINQgNQ6KSJt2a6tFXI-y3uYoAJN0TODnb-08QHitGpni43cUwhgPeyRUVvewDtTlme7z6Kpb7gOLVC4pAX9PTJ1O-h94sgtgGfewuJARBJxkjDk/w640-h364/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using heavy weight (110lb) smooth white cardstock. I dug through my patterned paper packs and found this white wood floor paper, which I used for the livingroom floor. I then found this great pink striped paper which I used for the couch and chair pop-up pieces. I followed Karens video on YouTube to put the pop-up pieces together and add them to my card, as this was my first time using this die set. <div><br /></div><div>Then I found some cute Easter paper with small bunny faces and carrots. I used this to create the pillows for the couch and chair. Then I used Karen Burniston's Picnic Elements to create a blanket to add to the couch. </div><div><br /></div><div>I created the lamp using mirrored silver cardstock and a patterned paper scrap I had on hand. I used the same patterned paper to create a rug on the floor. </div><div><br /></div><div>I die cut the bunny, basket, eggs and larger eggs from smooth white cardstock, then colored everything in using Copic markers. I put everything together, then added it the card, hiding the eggs around the furniture. Then I added some glitter gel to the larger hidden eggs. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbVCRFLSPWmaNyVm1XjTuUrHreS0ldLzfBGXhBqHihGy1d3C0YyzrvsZQJt48onMgdC_phaPdAs3AqpsOG4fYWNDrxWhnKNUjwQkc5KQCPm9iM1m0GthzrJGNvmbAJnArbEn1hjWE-JhyphenhyphendDLOfgHix5N-E3ApQakmqqCDK5aq-qvr8IoDc3CBQhdIwlaE/s3754/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2577" data-original-width="3754" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbVCRFLSPWmaNyVm1XjTuUrHreS0ldLzfBGXhBqHihGy1d3C0YyzrvsZQJt48onMgdC_phaPdAs3AqpsOG4fYWNDrxWhnKNUjwQkc5KQCPm9iM1m0GthzrJGNvmbAJnArbEn1hjWE-JhyphenhyphendDLOfgHix5N-E3ApQakmqqCDK5aq-qvr8IoDc3CBQhdIwlaE/w400-h275/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>I then used Karen Burniston's new Easter Borders to create the egg borders on either side of my card. <div><br /></div><div>I die cut the sentiment "Happy Easter" using pink cardstock and Karen Burniston's Easter Charms die set. I added some dark pink Distress Oxide Ink to the bottom of the sentiment to make it pop. </div><div><br /></div><div>I stamped a smaller sentiment on the bottom of the card using a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Eggstra Amazing Easter. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq8AV3vx61fNaUD-2aZWTO-qm4qnwhmlSxJLeS3g26hWG6mkD70BlX7JUZPvLmuOeqTKFlmu_O8HiKpXQa8Y7nr8-6IqgriT5aenPhfyWnEg9cDRwm0m4X98fspEBiBRqUIy3FG-rWPtt-LoKho9oW5mnYbSuTgc6D_cZNX7eHmt84ynWpYAQOE08c_6Q/s3840/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3840" data-original-width="2858" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq8AV3vx61fNaUD-2aZWTO-qm4qnwhmlSxJLeS3g26hWG6mkD70BlX7JUZPvLmuOeqTKFlmu_O8HiKpXQa8Y7nr8-6IqgriT5aenPhfyWnEg9cDRwm0m4X98fspEBiBRqUIy3FG-rWPtt-LoKho9oW5mnYbSuTgc6D_cZNX7eHmt84ynWpYAQOE08c_6Q/w298-h400/March%202024%20Designer%20Challenge.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>For the front of my card, I kept it simple. I used the same patterned paper that I used for the couch and chair. Then, using Karen Burniston's Oval - Crosshatch dies, I added some ovals to the front. <div><br /></div><div>I die cut some bunnies from the Easter Borders die set and added them around the ovals. </div><div><br />I had to do some word surgery to make my sentiment on the front, but it came out great! I used the Mini Alphabet dies to create the word "Bunny". For this I used a dark pink cardstock and a sparkly white cardstock. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by today for our Designer Challenge. My card for you today features Karen Burniston's brand new Tea and Coffee Pop-Up.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYBc0BFT_jpGZVXbMOCmgCGO7ENLW90N0DqR-shqaVZDuY_Upo0u5lOQXGnxGfQJh1j9H9LB1b-uifhN7_TmSdh9lqMqG9cQSq0tncgn49MUqn3XsenxOMVDT78F_ODMUERMvimPjIz41TJfXz60Sn9mh6CR32Yi-xDv_hlg540i_2PJMmrEz6xiXTp8A/s4032/Coffee%20Popup%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYBc0BFT_jpGZVXbMOCmgCGO7ENLW90N0DqR-shqaVZDuY_Upo0u5lOQXGnxGfQJh1j9H9LB1b-uifhN7_TmSdh9lqMqG9cQSq0tncgn49MUqn3XsenxOMVDT78F_ODMUERMvimPjIz41TJfXz60Sn9mh6CR32Yi-xDv_hlg540i_2PJMmrEz6xiXTp8A/w640-h480/Coffee%20Popup%20Card2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using a olive green cardstock. I die cut three rectangles using MFT - A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX dies in the largest sized rectangle. I used a cream colored heavy weight cardstock because I wanted to color the background using Copic markers. </p><p>I used Concord and 9th's Coffee Blend Turnabout stamp to create the background, stamping it using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black Ink. Then I colored the images in with Copic markers. </p><p>I dug through my stash of scrap patterned paper and found this brown lined pattern paper and thought it would work well with my card, so I used it to create borders for the top and bottom of my card. I then die cut the coffee bean border using Karen Burniston's Tea and Coffee Borders. </p><p>I die cut the pop-up mechanism from the same cardstock as the card base and added it to the card. Then I die cut the coffee mug. I added Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen, then I die cut a second mug from the same green cardstock as my card base and added some trim to the mug. I stamped the sentiment "You Mean a Latte to Me" using MFT - Coffee and Conversation stamp set. </p><p>I die cut the spoon from a mirrored silver cardstock and added to the bottom of the card, by the mug. Using Karen Burniston's Cupcake Add-On die sets icing die, I die cut a piece to be whipped cream on the top of the coffee. I die cut a couple of coffee beans and added them to the whipped cream. </p><p>I also used Karen Burniston's Word Set 2 - Birthday Die Set to die cut the Happy Birthday from gold cardstock and add it to the top of card. </p><p>I felt at this point it needed a little something, so I decided to use MFT - Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set to add some coffee drinking critters. I stamped the images, colored them and then added them to the card. </p><p>Lastly, I die cut a small rectangle using Karen Burniston's Rectangles - Crosshatch dies, to use as a place to sign the card. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi92qnSX5D6XIfL85em8XO1nu6Un_Nl0rIGPYbFjNs0iWJgkC8g5jDNLCCoIe8bC_Av1peHh946IyrBlmgczVADryjq6kM98Zujnp-esvELcd9yVlX2ELaea3eEJraFKxjhmw3gJ9y9mDXC2MKxriFlGrnO0u3P8SudWYi2VZpys0ZzkBde1JT6DZdcpgM/s4032/Coffee%20Popup%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi92qnSX5D6XIfL85em8XO1nu6Un_Nl0rIGPYbFjNs0iWJgkC8g5jDNLCCoIe8bC_Av1peHh946IyrBlmgczVADryjq6kM98Zujnp-esvELcd9yVlX2ELaea3eEJraFKxjhmw3gJ9y9mDXC2MKxriFlGrnO0u3P8SudWYi2VZpys0ZzkBde1JT6DZdcpgM/w400-h300/Coffee%20Popup%20Card.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"></div>For the front of the card, I added half the background from the inside of the card and half a white background. <div><br /></div><div>I stamped the sentiment on the front using the same stamp set as the inside of the card. </div><div><br /></div><div>I also added another coffee bean border and added a couple of more critters to the front. </div><div><br /></div><div>This is a great card for that coffee drinker in your life. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!<br /><p><br /></p></div>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-51279365194771403512024-02-19T06:00:00.000-08:002024-02-19T06:00:00.134-08:00Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release - Blog Hop Day!<div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;"><span class="x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u" color="var(--primary-text)" style="font-family: inherit; font-size: 0.9375rem; line-height: 1.3333; max-width: 100%; min-width: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; word-break: break-word;">Hi Crafty Friends,</span></div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;"><span class="x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u" color="var(--primary-text)" style="font-family: inherit; font-size: 0.9375rem; line-height: 1.3333; max-width: 100%; min-width: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; word-break: break-word;">Welcome to our Karen Burniston Products - KB Riley LLC December Release Blog Hop. I die cut three rectangles using the Rectangles - Crosshatch dies. Then using a checker board stencil and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, I created the chess board background. I added Distress Ink in Vintage Photo around the edges to create an aged look to the backgrounds. </div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">Then I spent an entire day creating all my Alice in Wonderland characters. This was a lot of piecing die cuts together, creating clothing and altering some of the die cut characters. But to summarize, the Red Queen and Alice uses the Princess die set. The Card Guards use the playing cards from the Game Charms. The Mad Hatter was created using the Knight die and added the Hat from the Tiny Accessories 1. The Cheshire Cat is from the Cat and Dog die set and last but not least, the rabbit is from the Spring Animals die set. </div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">I used the Flip Frame Pop-Up for this card. I die cut three tea cups using the new Tea and Coffee Pop-Up. I cut these using different colored cardstock and added some detail using Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated ink in corresponding colors. </div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">For the inside of the card, I added the sentiment "un-birthday to you". I had to do some word surgery to create this, but it went with the theme of the card. </div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">I added the tea pot border using the new Tea and Coffee Borders. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwnj27QQnpv_xfTekEnBx-pfvXG22B-HWqLZ64cYmRALwiHW0ZHEQCDy2W32W4Tpo0RqSYCBsuknqdwiUA59g_KEdKwmUq7vL1wCnsEbbSLeYC65pwWUXYp1pL6BM3aQZcHxQQzLC97VQvxfYK7PIiQwtJ_prfuhuYbMEzHg0CENdf7RwDlO-OAUqF3aE/s4032/Alice%20In%20Wonderland.jpg" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwnj27QQnpv_xfTekEnBx-pfvXG22B-HWqLZ64cYmRALwiHW0ZHEQCDy2W32W4Tpo0RqSYCBsuknqdwiUA59g_KEdKwmUq7vL1wCnsEbbSLeYC65pwWUXYp1pL6BM3aQZcHxQQzLC97VQvxfYK7PIiQwtJ_prfuhuYbMEzHg0CENdf7RwDlO-OAUqF3aE/w300-h400/Alice%20In%20Wonderland.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">For the front of the card, I added another tea cup and die cut the steam from an heavy weight opaque vellum. </div><div class="x1e56ztr" style="background-color: white; color: #050505; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic", "Segoe UI", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: 8px;">If you would like to see how I created all the animals, let me know. My card today was created for Lawn Fawn's Challenge #166 - Interactive Cards. I have made several cards using their Magic Picture Changer and Magic Iris, but I have only made one card using the Double Slider Surprise. So I decided to use this die set for my Interactive card. I also used their "Yappy Birthday" stamp set. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp7YRz42uME__LzC6tmna9t1WdB8vI1RN0FSrzNk281HquutHBqq0nqJzZV4sT07T97369eoZAagaYgrd0P8h2tF0mcY14LkoUx1H0DjLqhM_-EzmNSxYI9BJrZEVhTc4qPcjlzGjbF62ESqC5LYuruGyD7aO4g2KcN7-pDu5jj9gYUttjLu_1css0csM/s1200/Howlin'%20Good%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgp7YRz42uME__LzC6tmna9t1WdB8vI1RN0FSrzNk281HquutHBqq0nqJzZV4sT07T97369eoZAagaYgrd0P8h2tF0mcY14LkoUx1H0DjLqhM_-EzmNSxYI9BJrZEVhTc4qPcjlzGjbF62ESqC5LYuruGyD7aO4g2KcN7-pDu5jj9gYUttjLu_1css0csM/w640-h640/Howlin'%20Good%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>For this card, I started by die cutting all the pieces to create the interactive card. I added a cloud background, using MFT - Mini Clouds stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Then I die cut the pieces from green cardstock and die cut grass areas. I glued these on to each panel. Then I put the interactive pieces together. </p><p>I then stamped my images using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. You may know this already, if you've been checking out my blog long enough, but I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Angus. He's a big lovable, cuddly monster of a dog. So as I was coloring my dogs in from the Yappy Birthday stamp set, I thought it would be fun to add Angus to my card. With my pencil, I drew in the areas that would be white fur, tan fur and black fur and then colored them in with Copic markers. I love love love how he turned out. I die cut the images out using the corresponding dies. I then decided where I wanted all the birthday dogs to go. </p><p>Once I had my idea in place, I glued the images down. I then did some sentiment stamping around the card. For some of the sentiment stamping, I used my MISTI. </p><p>Then I cut a card base using smooth heavy weight white cardstock. I found some pet patterned paper in my stash and there was this awesome bright and cheerful patterned paper. I die cut two rectangles and added one to the front and one to the inside. </p><p>I then added double sided adhesive to the back of my interactive piece and added it to the front of my card. I die cut a smaller rectangle for the inside and stamped a sentiment on it. </p><p>I just love how this card turned out and having my own dog on the front makes it even better! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!</p>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-38110423561951121742024-02-16T06:00:00.000-08:002024-02-16T06:00:00.132-08:00Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release - Sneak Peek Week Day 4: Animal Add-Ons 5<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to Day 4 of our Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release Sneak Peek Week. To download the template for this box, click <a href="https://karenburniston.com/karens-pretty-springy-ball-box-templates/" target="_blank">here</a>. </p><p>I then die cut the pieces I needed to create the pop-up animals using the Bitty Ball Pop-Up die set. I used white cardstock for the bunny and yellow for the chick. For the bunny, I colored in a pink belly on the front using Copic markers. I then die cut the pieces from the Animal Add-Ons 5. I used Copic markers and some craft chalk to create the face and ears on my bunny. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjEH-yNz7M07eOwTGcO8RRhXpCDxLCDO4uJUFK1bvlqgQh95lO7jqAXkCQST_9baNTnDdRM-hWZOi77IFUb_lfTbB5LqQi-T3VOfHvbWMYHnjtSmPCkbKQxvr4H5-TmgrHeiObGzh7gauEodFxKNW5j9vnfYETpuUWpUNkAmoONjgE1bmUhdAFWAVBEQ0/s4032/Bunny%20and%20Chick2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjEH-yNz7M07eOwTGcO8RRhXpCDxLCDO4uJUFK1bvlqgQh95lO7jqAXkCQST_9baNTnDdRM-hWZOi77IFUb_lfTbB5LqQi-T3VOfHvbWMYHnjtSmPCkbKQxvr4H5-TmgrHeiObGzh7gauEodFxKNW5j9vnfYETpuUWpUNkAmoONjgE1bmUhdAFWAVBEQ0/w300-h400/Bunny%20and%20Chick2.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>I added Glossy Accents to the nose of the bunny and once it was dry, I added some shine lines. <div><br /></div><div>I then die cut the basket with the carrot and eggs. For this card I started with an A2 sized, top fold card using smooth white cardstock. </p><p>I die cut a rectangle from smooth white cardstock, then created water using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. Then with my spray bottle, I misted water and dabbed it off, to create an ocean water look. I then added some white tips to the waves using Copic opaque white paint. </p><p>I used the wave die from the Tropical Scene die set and cut a piece for the background of the card. I also used the die from Nature Edges to create the beach area. I die cut this from smooth white cardstock and then added Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen to create the beach look. </p><p>I die cut two palm trees using the Palm Tree Pop-Up and the Beach Bar Tiny House Add-On. I colored the palm leaves using Copic markers. I added the beach umbrella using the new Beach Elements die set. I also added a beach ball using the Beach Charms die set. I colored the beach ball with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents to create a shiny surface. </p><p>I added pop up waves on the bottom of the card using the Small Scenes Bam Box Pop-Up. I die cut the Chicken from the the Chicken, Pig and Lamb die set and added the snorkel and goggles from the new Tiny Accessories 4. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig4xDg4Qp81RnGK4XunGgQjZ-bMUXl3E770Ld-ofoPnxxvzJKtOniSZDhbg9SIZedzOhGuKSZwpc6WkTAe6YN0KCyOfTGQBb8UxxrXJxQm-C4oo7luxGoxOLi2_VuKi0pEnhBKyOtsX2Juq5rOMoyn4ZcmJ9I1d9cSy83vPrWKDtg0Vru6_gixQNDsVmo/s3833/Cluckin'%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3833" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig4xDg4Qp81RnGK4XunGgQjZ-bMUXl3E770Ld-ofoPnxxvzJKtOniSZDhbg9SIZedzOhGuKSZwpc6WkTAe6YN0KCyOfTGQBb8UxxrXJxQm-C4oo7luxGoxOLi2_VuKi0pEnhBKyOtsX2Juq5rOMoyn4ZcmJ9I1d9cSy83vPrWKDtg0Vru6_gixQNDsVmo/w315-h400/Cluckin'%20Birthday%20Card.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>For the front of the card, I created another water and beach scene, then added another chicken but this time, a added the chicken to the flamingo floatie that is part of the new Tiny Accessories 4. <div><br /></div><div>I added some more palm trees and a tiny crab to my beach area. </div><div><br /></div><div>Then I created the sentiment on the front using Word Set 2: Birthday die set and the Mini Alphabet die set. </div><div><br /></div><div>I am so happy with how this card turned out. I had this great gingham patterned paper, which I used for the inside and front of my card. </p><p>I die cut the new Lorna Label Pop-Up mechanism from a pink cardstock and added it into my card. I added a smaller white label to the pop-up and then added my details to the pop-up. I took the cupcake from the Cupcake Add-On die set to create a birthday cupcake. Then I die cut two Tiny Gnomes from smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I die cut the chef hats from the new Baking Borders and glued them onto the Gnomes to make them into little chefs!</p><p>I used the smaller rectangle label that comes with the new Lorna Label die set and stamped a sentiment onto it using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. I then cut out three square pieces from smooth white cardstock that fit just slightly smaller than the card base (4.875 x 4.875). I used Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans to create my backgrounds. Once dry, I used a rain drop stencil from Spellbinders and VersaMark ink along with clear embossing powder to create the look of raindrops. </p><p>I then used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-Up to create the pop-up for the inside of the card. I used a light blue cardstock for the pop-up mechanism. I then added a label to it using the same yellow cardstock as the card base. I also added a second label from the die set and made the same background as the card. I added the sentiment "Thinking of You" from Word Set 10 - Thinking of You, using a glitter cardstock with a black cardstock background. </p><p>I die cut the tree from the Tree Pop-Up die set using smooth white cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers. I used the Woodland Animals die set to create a fox and squirrel. I die cut these animals twice from smooth white cardstock. One die cut I colored with Copic markers to create the animals. The second die cuts, I created rain coats, by penciling in the coat and cutting it out with my scissors. Then I colored in the coats with Copic markers and glued them to the animals. </p><p>I used the grass die from the Nature Edges die set. Then I stamped the sentiment on to the grass using Spellbinders - I've Got You Covered stamp set. </p><p>I die cut the clouds from two different die sets, the Castle Pop-Up and Landscape Scene. I used Copic markers to create the rain clouds. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOdtPJCSxn6W3aVDN2cvUpqI4yOtdmRRYQac6DraPWgQnaSKqthLYTMeYR4HCAcximN57bTrJWMKc7nXQYccXw7Oe2L_9vlnEiKSjI801V3cJ5au2NYUm0n4SeaegxiG5fC-hmdUQ4bGjkMPtuZ_2vokDBzdygq6Kdp4md25rprZpW23gU2oSddB8uhVI/s3715/Thinking%20of%20You.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3715" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOdtPJCSxn6W3aVDN2cvUpqI4yOtdmRRYQac6DraPWgQnaSKqthLYTMeYR4HCAcximN57bTrJWMKc7nXQYccXw7Oe2L_9vlnEiKSjI801V3cJ5au2NYUm0n4SeaegxiG5fC-hmdUQ4bGjkMPtuZ_2vokDBzdygq6Kdp4md25rprZpW23gU2oSddB8uhVI/w325-h400/Thinking%20of%20You.jpg" width="325" /></a></div>For the front of the card, I used the Umbrella from the new Beach Elements. <div><br /></div><div>I also used the animals from the Safari Animals die set, also creating them rain coats like I did for the inside of the card. </div><div><br /></div><div>I added more rain clouds and little spring flowers to the grass. </div><div><br /></div><div>I am so proud of this card. I then dug through my stash and found this great heart patterned paper. </p><p>I die cut the pop-up mechanism from a pink cardstock and glued it into my card. Then I die cut all my photo frames. I used a smooth white cardstock for the background and then two different colors of red cardstock for the polaroid frame. I used a heart stencil and Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry to create the heart backgrounds. </p><p>I then dug out a bunch of my animal dies and started creating the animals for the photos. I used the following animals dies for this card:</p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Monkey and Lion</li><li>Safari Animals</li><li>Chicken, Pig and Lamb</li><li>Feathered Animals</li><li>Spring Animals</li><li>Cat and Dog</li></ul><div>I also added some accessories to the animals, such as heart glasses and random hearts that came with different die sets. </div><div><br /></div><div>I die cut a white heart using the Hearts - Crosshatch dies for a place to sign the card. My card today was created for the MFT (My Favorite Things) weekly sketch challenge. For this card, I used their super cute stamp set called Ewe Are The Best. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglHajE1iXfP_QTQ_Vhd0uqkVaYliOMXmJB4pUBTPo19-Ib4TVbzn1yamh5h64Oo4RLrXg5oYBIz3KeCiEXNegQHYZ3aHW0TXz4fyxLoSGwOePe9XuZd8THPCyPW7NxzeucvXD19JFG9j90sdm8M_vdRnTfCg34v4gKU9ZkJ_d0Qjm7BjkS0AA_91xt4iY/s3766/Ewe%20Have%20My%20Heart.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3766" data-original-width="2817" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglHajE1iXfP_QTQ_Vhd0uqkVaYliOMXmJB4pUBTPo19-Ib4TVbzn1yamh5h64Oo4RLrXg5oYBIz3KeCiEXNegQHYZ3aHW0TXz4fyxLoSGwOePe9XuZd8THPCyPW7NxzeucvXD19JFG9j90sdm8M_vdRnTfCg34v4gKU9ZkJ_d0Qjm7BjkS0AA_91xt4iY/w478-h640/Ewe%20Have%20My%20Heart.jpg" width="478" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using smooth heavy weight white cardstock. Then I used a pretty hearts patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs called Lots of Love. I die cut the center piece from a blue cardstock scrap I had on hand and using my MFT Lots of Hearts stencil, stenciled hearts onto the center piece with Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Seafoam. </p><p>I then stamped my images using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black Ink and colored the sheep in with Copic markers. I die cut the images out using the corresponding dies.</p><p>I placed and glued them down to the card where I wanted them, also based on the sketch and then I added red glitter Stickles and Glossy Accents to the heart and heart balloon. I used the heart balloon from MFT's Adorable Elephants stamp set and added that to the balloon the top sheep is holding. </p><p>Lastly, I added some red hearts decals I had on hand. This was a very simple card, but super cute! Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!</p>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-65458040834903118482024-02-03T14:53:00.000-08:002024-02-03T14:53:00.930-08:00Lawn Fawn Challenge 165: Lots of Hearts<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card today was created for Lawn Fawn Challenge 165: Lots of Hearts. It's been a while since I joined in on one of Lawn Fawn's challenges so I thought I would get back into created cards for their fun challenges. <br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiguhNm_YdmugHYqOTUf0QG96HctZqagSnxraegtnMPBsGk_j6_cxScOFhmqJevITcbfEcG1Flk2bJgmqSVYu5Hfb0LbIFReaqdQwQHOelwNCHOG73JHaYm7uTO3i2XMPcztDujwavtAhfbxMFS84FX8i2QYVGyDNqGL07355M7z_QZeIDo64T-TRWOKvk/s3736/Stinkin'%20Sweet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3736" data-original-width="2810" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiguhNm_YdmugHYqOTUf0QG96HctZqagSnxraegtnMPBsGk_j6_cxScOFhmqJevITcbfEcG1Flk2bJgmqSVYu5Hfb0LbIFReaqdQwQHOelwNCHOG73JHaYm7uTO3i2XMPcztDujwavtAhfbxMFS84FX8i2QYVGyDNqGL07355M7z_QZeIDo64T-TRWOKvk/w482-h640/Stinkin'%20Sweet.jpg" width="482" /></a></div><br /><p>I used an A2 sized card base using heavy weight smooth white cardstock. I then used a patterned paper from a Valentines paper pack from Doodlebug Designs called Lots of Love. I die cut a smaller white rectangle using MFT - A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX dies and colored the entire piece in with Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar. Using my MFT - Lots of Hearts stencil, I went over it again with Spun Sugar to create the background. </p><p>I used Lawn Fawn's How You Bean, How You Bean Shaker Add-On and How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On to create my shaker jar. </p><p>I also used the super cute Scent with Love Add-On stamp set to create the adorable skunk holding the heart balloon. </p><p>I die cut the "sweet" from Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sweet using red cardstock and black cardstock. Then glued all the layers together to give the word some dimension. I stamped the "you are stinkin'" sentiment from the Scent with Love Add-On stamp set on black cardstock using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. </p><p>Last but not least, I added some Glossy Accents to the balloon the skunk holds and some glitter gel to the word Sweet. </p><p>I'm not usually a fan of shaker cards, but I love how this one turned out. I added some red and white glitter bits to my shaker. It turned out adorable!!</p><p>Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!</p>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-32001028032142327332024-02-02T09:08:00.000-08:002024-02-02T09:08:58.029-08:00Tool Themed Father's Day Card<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! It's been a while since I've posted and I am sorry about that. There has been quite a lot going on in my personal life that required my attention. But hopefully things are back on track and I can get back to posting all kinds of craftiness. </p><p>My card for you today features Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/little-twist-panel-pop-up/" target="_blank">Little Twist Panel Pop-Up</a>. I know I am super super early for a Fathers Day card, but I was going through my Karen Burniston's dies thinking what was something I hadn't used in a long time or at all. I got out my <a href="https://karenburniston.com/little-twist-panel-pop-up/" target="_blank">Little Twist Panel Pop-Up</a>, <a href="https://karenburniston.com/happy-fathers-day/" target="_blank">Happy Fathers Day</a> die and the <a href="https://karenburniston.com/tool-charms/" target="_blank">Tool Charms</a> (which believe it or not, I haven't used yet!). </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGlZ5dOuyMrMl-TyZHC3D3uF8UAM7xCRu228N-iJ1WLZ4Piau7lRMS-BwCKpEotD1vQt5zRNYQ0T3IZSoHYP9oGt29dBNcOu9dBU2KT5LKQGI-IQ_ezvYXjJ_X9m5VRlHulnJy9YDhRie2lmURUGIGbDtO8DqWZ9z8rdROdCgV42L2tgfksmngHMflgW8/s4032/Fathers%20Day2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGlZ5dOuyMrMl-TyZHC3D3uF8UAM7xCRu228N-iJ1WLZ4Piau7lRMS-BwCKpEotD1vQt5zRNYQ0T3IZSoHYP9oGt29dBNcOu9dBU2KT5LKQGI-IQ_ezvYXjJ_X9m5VRlHulnJy9YDhRie2lmURUGIGbDtO8DqWZ9z8rdROdCgV42L2tgfksmngHMflgW8/w480-h640/Fathers%20Day2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I started with an A2 top fold card using a heavy weight black cardstock. I dug through my paper stack and found some great Fathers Day themed paper. I added this to the inside of the card, adding some trim pieces using paper from the same pack. </p><p>I die cut the pop-up mechanism from black cardstock and put it in the card. I like the line up the patterned paper to the pop up for this card and trim to fit. I will post a video at some point on how I do this. Then I die cut the rectangular pieces that fit to the twist panel. </p><p>I die cut the tools from the Tool Charms and colored some of the pieces using Copic markers. I also added Glossy Accents to the screwdriver handle to give it some dimension. </p><p>I added an area to sign the inside of the card and die cut the Happy Fathers Day sentiment from silver cardstock and added it to the top of the card. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisViM5HbyUhkzyUvVmVm5vaTOLO9hs8dqZEYMq57jq72h_jKoCiWziA9iPtR8x3RqEvuFS0H5QgNkbw0C-thM3BY3LpZQeTGWQNKuUwu3NCHbYi8H72eIW2Wn_i4rBEsGxqvVxImDxPF045DLBMWMP6fGeC5Yg9KfcPYGaaxnq3nxvsJ7J_vbfto_xVuk/s3831/Fathers%20Day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3831" height="316" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisViM5HbyUhkzyUvVmVm5vaTOLO9hs8dqZEYMq57jq72h_jKoCiWziA9iPtR8x3RqEvuFS0H5QgNkbw0C-thM3BY3LpZQeTGWQNKuUwu3NCHbYi8H72eIW2Wn_i4rBEsGxqvVxImDxPF045DLBMWMP6fGeC5Yg9KfcPYGaaxnq3nxvsJ7J_vbfto_xVuk/w400-h316/Fathers%20Day.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>For the outside of the card, I used the same patterned paper as the inside. I added two more tools to the front as well to carry on the theme. <div><br /></div><div>I used Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/alphabet/" target="_blank">Alphabet</a> die to cut out the word Dad using black cardstock and silver cardstock. I glued them together to give the word some depth. </div><div><br /></div><div>Then I stamped the sentiment "the man, the myth, the legend" using black cardstock and white embossing powder. This came from a stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps called Fathers Day. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>This is a simple, yet elegant looking Fathers Day card. I love how easy the Little Twist Panel Pop-Up is to put together. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!<br /><p><br /></p></div>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-33481164985932694012024-01-12T11:39:00.000-08:002024-01-12T11:39:40.985-08:00Birthday Cupcakes using Karen Burniston's Rockin' Rectangle!<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! I am trying really hard to replenish my birthday card supply and was trying to come up with a card idea. I decided to use Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/rockin-rectangle-pop-up/" target="_blank">Rockin' Rectangle</a> die set and then came up with the idea to incorporate her <a href="https://karenburniston.com/cupcake-pop-up-die-set/" target="_blank">Cupcake Pop-Up</a> as well!!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEza3VCCJANhQnLDsbo-EqtDpxf1vHb4VHh_g6aVMOJ-Y7NDo412UX9a1qTBWD4-fKSQYR89CcS6CwHuaKKnl1E8W5SBqT15TKb2UavoTfE__0fb1BB8rumSz11dNsNoI4db8iKej69p9JtM_AxQyOd7EdG7n9APHnEm4laZ663-BzhZKOqHkOdLi8jcQ/s3652/Cupcake%20Rockin'%20Rectangle2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3652" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEza3VCCJANhQnLDsbo-EqtDpxf1vHb4VHh_g6aVMOJ-Y7NDo412UX9a1qTBWD4-fKSQYR89CcS6CwHuaKKnl1E8W5SBqT15TKb2UavoTfE__0fb1BB8rumSz11dNsNoI4db8iKej69p9JtM_AxQyOd7EdG7n9APHnEm4laZ663-BzhZKOqHkOdLi8jcQ/w530-h640/Cupcake%20Rockin'%20Rectangle2.jpg" width="530" /></a></div><p>For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using smooth heavy weight white cardstock. Then, using Karen Burniston's R<a href="https://karenburniston.com/rectangles-crosshatch/" target="_blank">ectangles - Crossshatch</a> dies in the largest size, I cut three rectangles from a green polka dot patterned paper. For the front and inside rectangle, I adhered the patterned paper with a small piece of double sided adhesive at the top of each rectangle. Then I die cut the window. I added a piece of acetate to create a window and then glued both rectangles down. </p><p>I die cut two scalloped borders using a kraft cardstock and added them to the front and inside of the card. I added some Distress Ink in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pad-vintage-photo-ranger-tim19527-1" target="_blank">Vintage Photo</a> around the edges before adhering them. </p><p>I then die cut the pop-up mechanism from heavy weight white cardstock. I assembled the pieces and glued them into my card. </p><p>I die cut two pieces from the same kraft cardstock to cover the pop-up mechanism. I stamped the sentiment "make a wish and blow out the bonfire!" to the longer piece, using <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tsukineko-versamark-emboss-ink-pad-watermark-vm-001" target="_blank">VersaMark Ink</a>, Honey Bee Stamps <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/honey-bee-inside-snarky-birthday-sentiments-clear-stamp-set-hbst332" target="_blank">Inside: Snarky Birthday Sentiments</a> and black embossing powder. </p><p>Then I cut out all my cupcakes. I used the cupcakes dies from Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-Up set. There is one large and one small cupcake in this set. I used three smaller cupcakes on the front of my card and the large one on the inside. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQihEKchF0Q9Q6dAnZ5UO_w2Q8YhsmwQqC5itGx53xQDcwCUIKIlj-UXCKHHp69V8AGkpkrHoxDWEDqd6hEG4PWkJWJDHednYrCfufASvR4rDEK08ILHohZZre5Ti37Ryb_ghiPKlH2yagozmdLyGI5IVXcZB45ZAePvshZHSsrQUEm8CdIZUvougecOw/s3703/Cupcake%20Rockin'%20Rectangle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3703" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQihEKchF0Q9Q6dAnZ5UO_w2Q8YhsmwQqC5itGx53xQDcwCUIKIlj-UXCKHHp69V8AGkpkrHoxDWEDqd6hEG4PWkJWJDHednYrCfufASvR4rDEK08ILHohZZre5Ti37Ryb_ghiPKlH2yagozmdLyGI5IVXcZB45ZAePvshZHSsrQUEm8CdIZUvougecOw/w326-h400/Cupcake%20Rockin'%20Rectangle.jpg" width="326" /></a></div>I die cut the wrappers from green, yellow and blue scraps of cardstock, then added some detail to them using my Distress Oxide Inks in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pad-peacock-feathers-ranger-tim34933" target="_blank">Peacock Feathers</a>, <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-mustard-seed-ranger-tdo56089" target="_blank">Mustard Seed</a> and <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-mowed-lawn-ranger-tdo56072" target="_blank">Mowed Lawn</a>. <div><br /></div><div>I then die cut the frosting tops from white cardstock and added detail to them with Copic markers. </div><div><br /></div><div>I die cut the cherries that come with the Cupcake Pop-Up set. I also used Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/cupcake-add-ons/" target="_blank">Cupcake Add-On</a> die set to make the sprinkles on top of some of the cupcakes. </div><div><br /></div><div>For the inside cupcake, I added candles from Karen Burniston's Cake Pop-Up die set. </div><div><br /></div><div>I added a sentiment to the front from the same Honey Bee Stamps set as I used on the inside. Then I added glossy accents to the cherries and glitter gel to the sprinkles. </div><div><br /></div><div>Lastly, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on to a red cardstock banner that I die cut from MFT - Elegant Folded Banner die set. I also die cut a small rectangle and added it to the inside for a place to sign the card. </div><div><br /></div><div>I love how bright and cheerful this Birthday card turned out. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!</div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p></div>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-61173132035124419612024-01-09T08:03:00.000-08:002024-01-09T08:03:17.916-08:00Coffee Shop Cards with My Favorite Things Card Kit<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! About a year ago (has it really been that long? I can't really remember when this card kit came out) I purchased the My Favorite Things Coffee Shop card kit. I just loved all the little details that this kit came with. Over time, I also bought some of the extras, like the plants and the industrial finishes. But until now, I haven't even touched it!! I know, I know, shame! Lol. Well I was having a hard time deciding what to create and gave the decision making over to my 8 year old son. He was so excited about the coffee shop stuff, so I made two different coffee shop cards for you (and him). </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtHwr4QcdagX4VUTllnPcYs9rVIYVJi1WoLXNIKh7Gs-4sLom9arDQIUCc8jmArE6VD2ctsPKfRCGkbZduKtRds9yJO4xs5vjFK3vPvdjFDe804OZWYqY0CsitnkhZqLnwGefLk9xu2U6NiA5qAZhWjjkmpSwmuWw_GFzVbr4YI9rKRmxDNWtox-d_fkM/s3778/Coffee%20Shop%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3778" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtHwr4QcdagX4VUTllnPcYs9rVIYVJi1WoLXNIKh7Gs-4sLom9arDQIUCc8jmArE6VD2ctsPKfRCGkbZduKtRds9yJO4xs5vjFK3vPvdjFDe804OZWYqY0CsitnkhZqLnwGefLk9xu2U6NiA5qAZhWjjkmpSwmuWw_GFzVbr4YI9rKRmxDNWtox-d_fkM/w320-h400/Coffee%20Shop%20Card.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>For my first card, I went with an A2 sized card base in the dark brown cardstock provided in the card kit. I added some of the patterned paper that also came with the kit called Floor to Ceiling. I also added a thin piece of white cardstock to create trim between the wall and the floor. <div><br /></div><div>Then I began die cutting out all the fun little coffee shop pieces. I started with MFT - <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/bistro-basics-die-namics?_pos=1&_sid=540ee97f9&_ss=r" target="_blank">Bistro Basics</a> and die cut the counter. I used a kraft cardstock to create the counter, adding some of the dark brown cardstock to give the counter some dimension. I added some details using Copic markers and set the counter aside. </div><div><br /></div><div>I used the MFT - <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/be-your-own-barista-die-namics?_pos=1&_sid=372996531&_ss=r" target="_blank">Be Your Own Barista</a> die set to die cut the expresso machine, coffee cups, coffee bags, etc. I added some detail to my die cuts using Copic markers. I like making these small die cuts because they use up all my saved scraps. </div><div><br /></div><div>I then used MFT - <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/make-a-sign-die-namics?_pos=1&_sid=e625ad6ec&_ss=r" target="_blank">Make a Sign</a> die set and <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/coffee-shop?_pos=1&_sid=4cbdf4237&_ss=r" target="_blank">Coffee Shop</a> stamp set to create the sign over the counter. I used a scrap of black cardstock and then cut it out of dark brown cardstock. I added the dark brown frame around the black frame to give the sign some dimension. I stamped the coffee board using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder. </div><div><br /></div><div>I then die cut a second counter from dark brown cardstock. I added this to the back. Then added the expresso machine, pumps and the cupcakes. I put some foam squares on the back of the first counter I made and then added that on top of the plain counter. I added the take out coffees and the cake to the front. This gives the card some dimension! I also added the shelf along with the cups, mugs and coffee bags. I stamped the coffee bean from the Coffee Shop stamp set on to the coffee bags using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. </div><div><br /></div><div>Lastly, I added the sentiment from MFT - <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/coffee-order?_pos=4&_sid=4cbdf4237&_ss=r" target="_blank">Coffee Order</a> stamp set. I used a red cardstock as the base and with VersaMark ink and white embossing powder to create the sentiment. I added this to the front of the counter. I will warn you, this card kit is ADDICTING!!!</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp804LMGF9A33P3PfTYI_McP7y_HHuOKDPCaq8pleUvTOus5eQIt-eWF8_u6ejV7yQOyXvr1HmhE_AtC1rZ6W_6LGSy7ewNf2ch6E2NrGzifaAOIz5SH3cEgxQ3UHKjuvlh_0uOC-laGzCbFxUn35r0IQx1G_1b1BSIsUE5dLYnbzrVJ95yX42_3_ywBc/s4032/Coffee%20Shop%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhp804LMGF9A33P3PfTYI_McP7y_HHuOKDPCaq8pleUvTOus5eQIt-eWF8_u6ejV7yQOyXvr1HmhE_AtC1rZ6W_6LGSy7ewNf2ch6E2NrGzifaAOIz5SH3cEgxQ3UHKjuvlh_0uOC-laGzCbFxUn35r0IQx1G_1b1BSIsUE5dLYnbzrVJ95yX42_3_ywBc/w400-h300/Coffee%20Shop%20Card2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>For my second card, I went with an A2 top fold card, using a light gray cardstock that came with my kit. I went with bright, calming colors for this card. I chose some pretty patterned paper from the same paper pad as before. <div><br /></div><div>I die cut the counter from Lawn Fawn's <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/lawn-fawn-white-woodgrain-8-5-x-11-inch-cardstock-lf2481" target="_blank">White Woodgrain</a> cardstock. Then I used a smooth white cardstock to add the top and bottom sections. I added the same light gray to the top and bottom as the card base. </div><div><br /></div><div>I chose some scrap blue cardstock that closely resembled the blue in the patterned paper and die cut the chairs and pots from MFT - Bistro Basics and <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/pots-and-plants-die-namics?_pos=1&_sid=35bb03805&_ss=r" target="_blank">Pots and Plants</a>. I die cut the light and fixtures from MFT - <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/products/industrial-finishes-die-namics?_pos=1&_sid=518c15d6a&_ss=r" target="_blank">Industrial Finishes</a>, coloring the lightbulb in with Copic markers. I die cut the plants from smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. </div><div><br />I die cut and stamped the coffee board, like I did in the first card, only changed the layout. I didn't add all the extras like I did in the first card because I wanted this card to be clean and simple. I did add some glossy accents to the cupcakes to make them look like they are under glass. </div><div><br /></div><div>I really enjoyed working with this card kit and the extras. There is really no end to the ideas you can come up with to create amazing coffee shop cards for that coffee lover in your life. It's dreary and gray here in Ontario and cold! We haven't really had snow yet, but I'm sure it's coming. So to make things a little brighter, I created this beach themed card using Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/palm-tree-pop-up/" target="_blank">Palm Tree Pop-Up</a>!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglmnCW1zP3cXIkyW784Y-ZbYwFth7hPsdscgkzN7xaRgc26iWhbonjcxuahq9Rxup2SZaIMnpQ0ebjTGONgcgeeznJDsyrQityF4U4z_irfH4J6kknDVxyGGDI8smG71nZYloWgdcpiYdKWPnBUpNkoHQ2riUpdPv4NyIkGCrVcUU3RJJdIlTBuZvqxN8/s4032/Beach%20Please%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglmnCW1zP3cXIkyW784Y-ZbYwFth7hPsdscgkzN7xaRgc26iWhbonjcxuahq9Rxup2SZaIMnpQ0ebjTGONgcgeeznJDsyrQityF4U4z_irfH4J6kknDVxyGGDI8smG71nZYloWgdcpiYdKWPnBUpNkoHQ2riUpdPv4NyIkGCrVcUU3RJJdIlTBuZvqxN8/w480-h640/Beach%20Please%20Card2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p>For this card, I started with a top fold A2 sized card base using heavy weight 110lb cardstock. I then cut two rectangles from smooth white cardstock to fit 1/8 of an inch smaller then the card base. These two rectangles create the beach and ocean for the top and bottom of my card. </p><p>To create the ocean/beach, I took a piece of removable tape and tore it down the center length ways. I placed it on the background where I wanted the ocean to be. Then using Distress Oxide ink in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-tumbled-glass-ranger-tdo56287" target="_blank">Tumbled Glass</a>, <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-salty-ocean-ranger-tdo56171" target="_blank">Salty Ocean</a> and <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-chipped-sapphire-ranger-tdo55884-1" target="_blank">Chipped Sapphire</a>, I created the ocean, being careful not to go over my taped area and leaving the edge white. I sprayed some water on the ocean areas using my mister to create a water effect. I did this with both rectangle pieces. I also used Copic Opaque paint and dabbed that on to create a ocean wave splash effect. </p><p>I removed the tape and replaced it with the other half of the torn tape piece, adding it to the edge of the ocean. Now I can create the beach area. I used Distress Ink in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pad-antique-linen-ranger-tim19497-1" target="_blank">Antique Linen</a> and <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pad-vintage-photo-ranger-tim19527-1" target="_blank">Vintage Photo</a>. Then I used my Distress spray in the same colors to add spots to my sand area to give it some dimension. I did this to both rectangle pieces. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTJcx1BSju8aXZJ3vZ5PZX8V8grkRsr1N6wbC4wrCJHwyautfHOsd0iDHU4j9qeS3fxQW7IxDwjrYZzVgZcRyHW33_hxS7kixS49GrWnpvqMR3Xu77M_IKTL1NhAmQbiq2fSiiGhgnIHzvgbwKnqlNHlCQp-fKAlvZQ_25lOAaF3fWVXnTA4RGXVUSvew/s3778/Beach%20Please%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3778" data-original-width="2921" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTJcx1BSju8aXZJ3vZ5PZX8V8grkRsr1N6wbC4wrCJHwyautfHOsd0iDHU4j9qeS3fxQW7IxDwjrYZzVgZcRyHW33_hxS7kixS49GrWnpvqMR3Xu77M_IKTL1NhAmQbiq2fSiiGhgnIHzvgbwKnqlNHlCQp-fKAlvZQ_25lOAaF3fWVXnTA4RGXVUSvew/w309-h400/Beach%20Please%20Card.jpg" width="309" /></a></div>I set these two pieces aside to dry. While they were drying, I die cut all my other pieces. I started with the palm trees from the Palm Tree Pop-Up. I die cut the trunks and bases using <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/lawn-fawn-ground-coffee-cardstock-lf1572" target="_blank">Ground Coffee</a> Cardstock from Lawn Fawn, but cut the palm tree leaves from smooth white cardstock. Then using my Copic markers, I colored the palm tree tops in. <div><br /></div><div>I then die cut all my sea creatures using Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/sea-animals/" target="_blank">Sea Animals</a> and <a href="https://karenburniston.com/sea-charms/" target="_blank">Sea Charms</a> die sets. I die cut most of these from smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I added some shine lines on the creatures using my white <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/sakura-classic-white-bold-line-10-gelly-roll-pen-31031" target="_blank">Gelly Pen</a>. I added some glitter gel to the Jelly Fish tentacles. </div><div><br /></div><div>Using a scrap piece of smooth white cardstock, I added a blend of Distress Oxide ink in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-mustard-seed-ranger-tdo56089" target="_blank">Mustard Seed</a> and <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-oxide-ink-pad-carved-pumpkin-ranger-tdo55877" target="_blank">Carved Pumpkin</a>, the die cut the "Beach Please!" sentiment using Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/word-set-16-beach-happy-hour/" target="_blank">Word Set 16 - Beach Happy Hour</a>. </div><div><br /></div><div>I used Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/short-rectangles-crosshatch/" target="_blank">Short Rectangles - Crosshatch</a> to die cut a small rectangle to add the stamped sentiment to. For the sentiment I used <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/honey-bee-inside-snarky-birthday-sentiments-clear-stamp-set-hbst332" target="_blank">Honey Bee Stamps - Inside: Snarky Birthday Sentiments</a> stamp set. </div><div><br /></div><div>I then placed the two background pieces on the card base and measured out where to place my palm trees. I carefully taped the backgrounds together and added the die cut to cut out the two tabs for the palm tree base. I ran this through my die cut machine twice, one for each palm tree. </div><div><br /></div><div>I glued the two background pieces in place, being careful not to get glue to close to the tabs that hold the palm tree. Then I added the two base pieces for the palm tree. I added the two palm trees to the bases and then with bakers twine, I added the hammock between the two palm trees. This hammock comes with the Palm Tree Pop-Up!</div><div><br /></div><div>I added all my sea creatures and sentiments and the inside of the card was finished. I wanted to carry on the same theme to the front of the card, so for the front of the card, I created the same beach/ocean background. I used <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/my-favorite-things-cloud-mix-ables-stencil-mft-st99" target="_blank">My Favorite Things: Clouds</a> stencil to create some clouds in the background and used Distress Ink in <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pad-peacock-feathers-ranger-tim34933" target="_blank">Peacock Feathers</a> for the sky. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrh0Bgy2NDbSBBCqmI8vwu2EnRK1xhHRNCBPz2fZK9RawnJcbPU_tgGBie3CgAOyPD3D10rU2k1HYucw9FRPzCISM56QzZlQSm8NjFSyNVDClsILmIKi8RR_sj7NmNOOFBUX4WpSdmqPH9QNHeOzOC2nvudu-l5aSVPP-3-31eUEVfxGuIw6WEIOEj5p8/s3674/Beach%20Please%20Card3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3674" height="329" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrh0Bgy2NDbSBBCqmI8vwu2EnRK1xhHRNCBPz2fZK9RawnJcbPU_tgGBie3CgAOyPD3D10rU2k1HYucw9FRPzCISM56QzZlQSm8NjFSyNVDClsILmIKi8RR_sj7NmNOOFBUX4WpSdmqPH9QNHeOzOC2nvudu-l5aSVPP-3-31eUEVfxGuIw6WEIOEj5p8/w400-h329/Beach%20Please%20Card3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Then using the smaller palm tree from the Palm Tree Pop-Up and the palm tree from the <a href="https://karenburniston.com/beach-charms/" target="_blank">Beach Charms</a>, I added a couple of palm trees to my beach area. <div><br /></div><div>I also added the Flamingo from the Beach Charms set. I placed some sea shells using the shells from <a href="https://karenburniston.com/tropical-scene/" target="_blank">Karen Burniston's Tropical Scen</a>e die set. I also used her Beach Borders to create some small crabs for my beach. </div><div><br /></div><div>Using Karen Burniston's <a href="https://karenburniston.com/word-set-2-birthday-die-set/" target="_blank">Word Set 2 - Birthday Die Set</a>, I die cut the "celebrate" sentiment and added it to the front of my card. </div><div><br /></div><div>Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Pink Fresh Studios - <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/products/pinkfresh-studio-happy-birthday-sentiments-clear-stamp-set-104721" target="_blank">Happy Birthday Sentiments</a> stamp set using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black Ink. I just love how bright and cheerful this card is. It definitely brings some sunshine to these gloomy winter days. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><div><br /><p><br /></p></div></div>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-33760964197272700642024-01-02T06:00:00.000-08:002024-01-02T06:00:00.135-08:00Karen Burniston January 2024 Designer Challenge - Raise It Up!<p> Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to a brand new year!!! I wish you all the best for 2024 and hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season. My family and I spent our Christmas Day sick at home, but we were all together and still managed to have a nice dinner (despite the sniffles and coughing). </p><p>For our first Designer Challenge of the new year, Karen challenged us to create a card using the new Raising Platform Pop-Up! For my card, I decided to create a New Years celebration card. I can honestly say, I've never made a New Years card before. I went with gold, black, silver and white for my card colors. I thought these looked like classic New Years party favors.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8vWnMgqsd6dtEFcgiR6ku8Z4mXp9NFwLREv76NmNOfu2To7HNAX-vnHibrbWSgqKAIJm05NCARord2Qondy8mocyXcbokh6NfXURRnVObDpBEK3hV0NJ0Czhk9xisVSU8u1oBLnJpaDd2oNpXVJB6Ofy7uIOcAhNDHB54cgWMGmHuLexByoOlJyBY-sM/s4032/Jan%202024%20Designer%20Challenge2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8vWnMgqsd6dtEFcgiR6ku8Z4mXp9NFwLREv76NmNOfu2To7HNAX-vnHibrbWSgqKAIJm05NCARord2Qondy8mocyXcbokh6NfXURRnVObDpBEK3hV0NJ0Czhk9xisVSU8u1oBLnJpaDd2oNpXVJB6Ofy7uIOcAhNDHB54cgWMGmHuLexByoOlJyBY-sM/w640-h480/Jan%202024%20Designer%20Challenge2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>I started with an A2 sized card base using a heavy weight black cardstock. I then used the largest sized die in the Rectangles - Crosshatch die set and cut three rectangles from a mirrored gold light weight cardstock I got from Michaels. Then using the next die size down in the Rectangles - Crosshatch, I die cut three rectangles using white cardstock. </p><p>I then die cut the pop-up mechanism from the same black cardstock as the card base. Karen recommends using a light weight cardstock for this particular pop-up mechanism and yes, a heavy weight cardstock makes it very bulky, but I really wanted to stick with black, and I only had the heavy weight black cardstock. I added gold accents to the base of the pop-up. </p><p>I then die cut the fancy label that shows when the pop-up raises up, using the same gold cardstock, adding a secondary label in white cardstock. I added the pop-up mechanism and the label to the card. </p><p>I then began die cutting all the little bits and pieces I wanted to use with this card. I die cut a martini glass from the Happy Hour Charms, using white cardstock, vellum and Copic markers to create the fancy drink. Once glued into the card, I covered the glass in Glossy Accents to add more detail to the glass and make it stand out. </p><p>I die cut several stars and streamers from the same colors I was using in the card. I added these all over the card, including behind the pop-up! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd-l77BFso4xeAZaB0Tgk6P-Dkxxi6jB3tDiUv5XxWty0XZgXNV7yao4ATIORmgh0DIYnY-5gVjiz3mC2UrG9M3wlLIsk-mGK3pBG8DA1aDF_Ua8nLiKTeGLDrCxp9KzBdl4N5eUDxsejE6NGCXyCfcDPukOSnXFYMfWERORg3NP0mGGUe2wUg53lkcpE/s3903/Jan%202024%20Designer%20Challenge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3903" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgd-l77BFso4xeAZaB0Tgk6P-Dkxxi6jB3tDiUv5XxWty0XZgXNV7yao4ATIORmgh0DIYnY-5gVjiz3mC2UrG9M3wlLIsk-mGK3pBG8DA1aDF_Ua8nLiKTeGLDrCxp9KzBdl4N5eUDxsejE6NGCXyCfcDPukOSnXFYMfWERORg3NP0mGGUe2wUg53lkcpE/w310-h400/Jan%202024%20Designer%20Challenge.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>I went with the same theme for the front of the card, adding lots of stars and streamers (these come with the Raising Platform Pop-Up!). <div><br /></div><div>I also added the sentiment "Celebrate" to the front of the card using a sparkly silver cardstock. Same as the numbers in the pop-up on the inside. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you so much for stopping by on our first Designer Challenge for 2024! I wish you all the very best. Thank you again and Happy Crafting!<br /><p><br /></p></div>jlwebstercreationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05654865807246195866noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762310327220503078.post-62669276241061743522023-12-19T08:52:00.000-08:002023-12-19T08:52:35.885-08:00There's No One Elf Like You!<p> <span style="font-family: Inter;">Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card today uses Karen Burniston's Photo Collage Pop-Up and Mama Elephants Little Elf Agenda stamp set as well as the Little Agenda Trains stamp set. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLdgLKhBEjbsNU9-pubuMrzonhyIy-TaU3nNMoEnpp-2UAVjQfU_AY52i1J3YL_2036TdIkT7WJkz2424PVp_bS-9CDwHQP74K0aJ1QR9axK5jeJVNg6umFSBRs1uGrS4OObK3bDpO_o_xSunD2dUKp-7Cw2DfWkEVizEvNigPwyL2EMMQwn7hwbv4PMg/s4032/Elf%20Picture%20Card2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLdgLKhBEjbsNU9-pubuMrzonhyIy-TaU3nNMoEnpp-2UAVjQfU_AY52i1J3YL_2036TdIkT7WJkz2424PVp_bS-9CDwHQP74K0aJ1QR9axK5jeJVNg6umFSBRs1uGrS4OObK3bDpO_o_xSunD2dUKp-7Cw2DfWkEVizEvNigPwyL2EMMQwn7hwbv4PMg/w640-h480/Elf%20Picture%20Card2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: Inter;">For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using a light weight red cardstock. I found this great Christmas light patterned paper in my stash and used it for the inside and front of my card. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">I began by die cutting the pop-up mechanism from a heavy weight red cardstock. I also cut the arms from the same cardstock. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">I then die cut four polaroid fronts from four different colors of cardstock. I also cut the backgrounds from smooth white cardstock. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">I then began to stamp my images using the Mama Elephant stamp sets mentioned above. I used Copic markers to color in the images. I added some Glitter Gel and Glossy Accents to some of the images. Then I glued all the images to the photo fronts. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9QasCA6htVE_HSWQdH_YVVMMkUdVqzen6cfqmlwkslQPboiW0BxFogm7pWBvv7yI-vzIx8M4FvekUlPgoD3p9P77TIwFRFSi1pul-mS05u3slQ8ygHecIM-j_YFNmy-psJ7qLNrGt4F7uwU9ZjPppgXXMWsPWVpLAt1AratzDA4t6o_3GPAIQe-Zuhy8/s3640/Elf%20Picture%20Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3640" data-original-width="3024" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9QasCA6htVE_HSWQdH_YVVMMkUdVqzen6cfqmlwkslQPboiW0BxFogm7pWBvv7yI-vzIx8M4FvekUlPgoD3p9P77TIwFRFSi1pul-mS05u3slQ8ygHecIM-j_YFNmy-psJ7qLNrGt4F7uwU9ZjPppgXXMWsPWVpLAt1AratzDA4t6o_3GPAIQe-Zuhy8/w333-h400/Elf%20Picture%20Card.jpg" width="333" /></a></div><span style="font-family: Inter;">I then began to place my photos on the pop-up mechanism, using my Lineco Neutral pH glue. </span><p></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">I die cut a fancy square using an extra die in the Fancy Label Accordion die set, from smooth white cardstock and added it to the inside of the card. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">Then I used some extra red cardstock arms I die cut and stamped the sentiment "There's No One Elf Like You" using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">For the front of the card, I added four additional photo images. I also die cut the sentiment "merry Christmas" from Karen Burniston's Word Set 3 - Holiday using a white glitter cardstock and black cardstock. I glued the two pieces together to give the sentiment some dimension. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: Inter;">How adorable are those elves? I made this card for my daughter for Christmas.
