Sending Hugs with Spellbinders Mason Jar and Lavender

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card for you today uses Spellbinders Mason Jar and Lavender die set. This set has everything you need to create a beautiful card for any occasion.

For this card, I decided to make a slim line card. With how tall this die set is, this is probably the best card size to really show off the lavender.

I used Neenah Classic Crest, heavy weight (110lb) smooth white cardstock for the card base. Then, using the same cardstock, I cut two rectangles for the backgrounds of my card.

I used Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Lemonade and Sunbeam along with MFT's Basket Weaves stencil to create my background.

I die cut the mason jar using a heavy weight vellum. I also die cut the mason jar using a blue vellum to use as water in the jar. Then I die cut the leaves and stems using green cardstock then went over the cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink in Rustic Wilderness.

I die cut the flower from a dark and light purple. Normally, I would color my die cuts but this was a lot of little tiny die cuts, so I decided to keep things simple. I glued everything together and added it to the card front. I think I should have added more flowers to the lavender plants.

I used Honey Bee Stamps - Bitty Buzzwords to create the sentiment. I used VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder and black cardstock with white embossing powder.

Lastly, I added a bow using some Jute Twine. I love how pretty this card turned out. But I do think next time I would add more flowers and color them by hand, as time consuming as that would be. Or even maybe use glitter cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
