Friends Card, using Cricut!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Monday and thank you for stopping by. My card today was inspired by the Concord and 9th peek through patterns die sets. So I got on my Cricut Design studio and created this friend's card.

I made a 7x10in rectangle and cut out a section in the bottom half of the card. I attached a score line and added that along the 5in mark. I found the word friends in the image bank for the Cricut Design Space and added it to the section I cut out and welded it all together. This is what it looks like in the Cricut design space.

I then stamped and die cut out the flowers and leaves from the My Favorite Things More Rustic Wildflowers stamp set. Unfortunately, this set is no longer available. I used Gina K and Hero Arts assorted inks to stamp the flowers (see below for the colors). I stamped the sentiments on the front of the cards from My Favorite Things More Essential Sentiments using Gina. K ink in Peach Bellini and then stamped it again using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I added clear acetate cardstock on the inside to give the card some stability and stamped a pretty flower pattern on the inside using the Close to My Heart Border Medley stamp in Gina. K ink in peach bellini. I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card, using the same My Favorite Things More Essential Sentiments set. I also added shimmer to the word friends, using a Close to My Heart clear shimmer marker.

This card was a lot of work, but well worth it in the end. I was very pleased with how this turned out. See below for a list of the materials used in this card, including links to buy any of the products. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Suprise! It's a pop out Easter Card!

Hello Everyone!

Keeping up with the Easter theme, I created another fun card for the holiday. I used another Karen Burniston pop-up die set. This one is called the Spinner Square Pop-Up. It's a die that could be used for any kind of card, in any size you want. I think that's my favorite part of Karen Burnistons die sets.

For this card, I used Hero Arts Hero Hues premium cardstock in Lavender, Recollections yellow polka-dot paper and patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs Hoppy Easter. I cut the lavender paper 4.25x11 and scored it at 5.5in. Then I used the dies from the Karen Burniston spinner square pop-up set. It has everything you need to make the window in the front of the card, as well as the frame that goes around it.

I stamped the images using Newton's Nook Designs - Newton's Easter Basket stamp set and cut the images out using the coordinating dies. These super cute kitties and eggs were really fun to color. I think I used every Copic marker I have!

The great part about Karen Burniston dies sets is she provides a step by step video on YouTube on how to assemble all her die sets, including the little charms or animal dies that coordinate with her sets. Click here for the video for her Spinner Square Pop- Up die set.

I added the trim from the Doodlebug Designs paper and adhered the images to the card using Sookwang double-sided adhesive tape and Lineco Neutral PH adhesive glue. I can't wait to send this card out to someone special!

Easter Tag Book Pop-Up Card

Hello Everyone!!

It's been a long time, but we are finally back and here with a super cute Easter card. I used the Tag Book Pop-Up from Karen Burniston for the base of this card.

The tag book pop-up die set can be used to make all kinds of different cards and you can use other dies from her other sets. It could be used to make a gift tag card or just a cute little pop-up card for any occasion.

Here in Ontario, Canada, we are in a state of emergency due to the Corona virus, so what better to do then get crafty? I decided to get a head start on some Easter cards and came up with this cute tag book card. I used My Favourite Things Easter Bunnies stamp and coordinating die set to make the bunnies, butterflies and eggs. For paper, I used My Favourite things cardstock in Tickled Pink and Lemon Chiffon. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs - Hoppy Easter and Echo Park - Easter Wishes.

I used Copic markers to color in the bunnies and other assorted stamped images. The "Spring is in the air" on the front came from Birch Press Designs - Spring Blessings. I added some ribbon as a finishing touch. This card will fit nicely in an A7 envelope, but you just have to be careful with the embellishments you may use, as it will increase postage.

I have left links below as to all the supplies I used. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
