Christmas Joy!

 Good Monday Morning!

Today's card is for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge. I used the MFT Joy Wreath die set to create this bright and festive Christmas card.

For the base card, I used MFT Smooth white cardstock. Then I used MFT Wild Cherry cardstock for the background layer. I took a piece of the smooth white cardstock and stamped the plaid pattern with the Plaid Background Stamp from Concord & 9th using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Lime Green.

I used MFT sparkle red cardstock and Christmas pattern paper from Doodlebug Design Inc - Christmas Town paper pad. I cut out the wreath in two different colors of green cardstock and then cut out the center circle using the MFT Scalloped circle dies. I cut the Joy sentiment out of wild cherry cardstock twice and once from the sparkle red cardstock to give it some dimension. I added Glossy Accents to the berries in the wreath and to the wild cherry cardstock edge on the scalloped center.

I just love how this card turned out! So bright and festive, but a simple design.

As always, thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Warm Hugs with Beautiful Lilies - Altenew Build a Flower

Happy Sunday my fellow crafters and thank you for stopping by. Today's card uses the Altenew Build-a-Flower die set. I recently discovered their monthly club and signed up for it. This is the beautiful lily die set. It comes with everything you need to make these gorgeous flowers.

I love the versatility of these dies. You can make them any color you want, or you can cut them out with white cardstock and color them yourself. I used MFT Smooth White cardstock for the base card, then a light yellow cardstock and stamped the background using MFT Bold Diagonal Stripes background stamp with Gina. K ink in Sweet Corn.

I just used scrap cardstock to make the lilies and used my Copic marker E37 Sepia to make the dots going up the center of the flower.

I added the Warm Hugs sentiment from the Power Poppy - Nice Things to Say stamp set and added gold sequence to add a little extra to this card.

I can't wait to get started on the next month's die set with Altenew, so stay tuned for more beautiful flower cards.

As always, have a great day and Happy Crafting!!

Birthday Selfiebrations! Using the MFT Picture Perfect Party Animals

Hello and thank you for stopping by! I hope you are all having a great hump day.

For my card today, I used the MFT Picture Perfect Party Animals stamp and coordinating die set to make a slimline card for the MFT Birthday Challenge.

I used MFT Smooth White cardstock for the base card and MFT Milk Chocolate for the layered background paper. I stamped cupcakes and party hats on a piece of MFT Tickled Pink cardstock, using stamps from Hog Heaven and Beary Special Birthday.

I colored the images in using Copic markers and then I added Glossy Accents to the balloons and icing on the cupcake. While the Glossy Accents was still wet, I added sparkles and let everything dry. Once everything was dry, I dusted off the remaining sparkles with a brush.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Party Animals stamp set using MFT Sweet Tooth ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some Studio Katia clear drops for a little extra embellishment.

What a great way to celebrate a birthday, then with a colorful card! The animals are so cute and I really love the way the added sparkles light the card up.

Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

MFT Color Challenge 149 - Fall!

 Good Morning Everyone!

I'm not sure about you, but fall is my favorite season. I love the smell of the leaves, the cool, crisp air. It just makes me want to bake pies and bread, wear warm sweaters, and just enjoy the beautiful colors of the changing trees.

For the weekly color challenge, we were to use the following four colors in our card creations.

I used the MFT Natural cardstock for my card base. Then I layered Jellybean Green and Coral Crush cardstock on top. I used Recollections 110lb white cardstock and lightly brushed the edges with Ranger Vintage Photo distress ink.

I used the MFT Autumn Blessings stamp and coordinating die set to create the fall leaves and pumpkins. I colored them in with Copic markers. I stamped the Autumn Blessings sentiment with Altenew Jet Black mixed media ink and embossed it with black Recollections embossing powder.

I really love this stamp set, because it has so many ways you can use it. Especially the leaves! Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge 507

Happy Monday and thank you for stopping by. Today's card was created for the My Favorite Things weekly sketch challenge. I made a simple "thinking of you" card using the MFT More Rustic Wildflowers stamp and die set.

I die cut out all the flowers first, then stamped them with various colored inks from Hero Arts and Gina K. When I first got this stamp and die set, I couldn't figure out what colors looked good, what paper to use and I didn't enjoy using this set. But once I got the right coordinating colors, I love this stamp set and I use it regularly on cards.

I used MFT smooth white cardstock for the card base and a gray cardstock from Michaels. I cut out the oval using MFT Stitched Oval STAX. I used Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Wet Cement to darken the edges of the card. I am very pleased with how this card came out.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!

My Favorite Things 2020 Card Design Superstar Challenge!

 Hello Everyone,

I am super excited to share with you the two cards I made for the My Favorite Things 2020 Card Superstar Challenge. There were three catagories and I submitted cards for two of the three categories.

The first card I am showing you is for the Color Virtuoso Challenge. I made this beautiful fall card using MFT cardstock in Milk Chocolate and Jelly Bean Green.

I used stamps from Fall Friends & Ewe are the Best and I used the Tree Branch die to create the branches and leaves.

I created the background using Ranger Distress Ink in Salty Ocean for the sky and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass. I used the tree stamps from the Ewe are the Best stamp set to make the trees in the background.

For my second card, I entered for the Clean and Simple Genious. I used the Meant to Bee stamp and die set for this card.

I used My Favorite Things smooth white cardstock and Lemon Drop. I kept the image simple with simple coloring and great use of the white space. I added glitter to the bees wings.

I hope you like my designs and thank you for stopping by. Have a great day and happy crafting!
