Wedding Wishes from Spellbinders

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Todays card is made using Spellbinders Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Cake and Wedding Dress and Tux etched dies. These dies come with everything you need to make these beautiful cards.

To make the Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Cake card, I started with a card made from Neenah Classic Crest smooth white cardstock cut to make a A2 sized card. I added a layer of gold cardstock from Recollections and a piece of kraft cardstock on top.

I cut the Mr. & Mrs. topper from the same gold paper, as well as the leaves for the flowers and the background for the cake. This would make all the small dots on the cake show up as gold. I cut the cake and all other accesories from white cardstock. I cut out the flowers from an off-white cardstock. I added Liquid Pearls in gold to the center of the flowers.

To make the Wedding Dress and Tux card, I started with black cardstock cut to make an A2 sized card. I cut a piece of off-white cardstock with the largest die from the A2 Rectangle STAX from MFT. I cut out the dress, flowers, bow and tux shirt from white cardstock. The tux is cut from black cardstock. The lapels and buttons are from grey cardstock. The bands around the wedding dress I cut out from silver sparkle paper. I added a red flower for the tux and stamped the sentiment with Spellbinders/Fun Stampers Journey - My Advice stamp set with silver embossing powder.

These die sets were easy to use, came with other options for the dress and tux, like a tie instead of a bow tie. The cut beautifully and I can't wait to use them again!

My Favourite Things - Outside the Box Challenge

Hello again and thank you for stopping by!

My outside the box card I created for the MFT Outside the Box Challenge is this super cute birthday card using the MFT Birthday Buds Stamp and die set.

To make this card, I used the MFT Outside the Box die set. The card itself is cut out from Neenah Classic Crest smooth white 110lb cardstock. I cut out blue cardstock (I apologize I can't remember where I got it from or the color) and patterned cardstock from Doodlebug designs - Hey Cupcake paper pack. I used some scrap green cardstock I saved for the grass, which is cut out using the MFT Outside the Box Grass die set.

I colored the little critters from the MFT Birthday Buds stamp set and die cut them out with the co-ordinating dies. I used assorted Copic markers to color them. I added glossy accents to the balloons, the cake icing and the candle flames. I also added Stickles in Star Dust to the tips of the party hats.

I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with white ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. When I put the card together, I thought it would be neat to have one of the animals holding the balloons float, so I added a strip of clear, thick acetate and made the little bunny "float".

These cute little animals along with the neat design of this card is sure to make someones birthday extra fun and special.

Sending Big Hugs with My Favorite Things

Happy Wednesday Everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Todays card features the Sending Big Hugs die and Hug it Out stamp and die set from My Favorite Things (which in case you haven't noticed, is one of MY favorite things!)

For this card, I used Neenah Classic Crest 110lb smooth white cardstock for the card base and the white card front. I used MFT A2 Rectangle STAX to die cut out the card front. On a scrap piece of the same white cardstock, I used Distress Inks in Broken China, Mowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemon to create a gradient. Then I die cut out the sending out big hugs from the gradient I made. I also die cut the sentiment from plain white cardstock and added it to the colored pieces to add some dimension.

To make placement easy, I used the shell of the die cut sentiment and lined it up on my card front. Then I placed the letters back into the die cut paper and glued them down. Once I did the first layer, I removed the "stencil" and added the colored letters. This way, my sentiment is straight and spaced correctly.

I colored the animals from the MFT Hug it Out stamp set and die cut them out. I added glossy accents to the hearts and placed that in the middle of the sentiment.

I added gems from Doodlebug Designs mini gems: spring assortment.

This simple card came out really nice and I am happy to share it with you.

Surprise! It’s an Explosion Card!

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Today’s card is a super fun, colourful explosion card. For this card I used the Karen Burniston Explosion Card die set.

For the front of the card, I used My Favorite Things Frosted Cupcake Die set. The paper for this card was from Doodlebug Designs 12x12 Hey Cupcake paper pack. This paper pack also came with a page of stickers which I used for the borders and the hearts and stars. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things: Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set. I stamped it on black cardstock with white embossing powder.

For the inside of the card, I used the same Doodlebug paper. I used the Karen Burniston Happy Birthday die and for the numbers I used Spellbinders: Birthday Wishes for Everyone. With the explosion die set came the balloon dies, which I cut out from different colored cardstock and added glossy accents to some and Stickles in Star Dust and Diamond, to others.

As intimidating as this explosion die seemed at first, it was really super simple, once you got the paper folded. As always, Karen Burniston has a video on YouTube to follow along with and gives some ideas that her designers have come up with.

Well that's all for now, thank you for stopping by, stay safe and Happy Crafting!!

Antique Roses using Altenew’s monthly Craft-a-Flower dies

Hello everyone and than[k you for stopping by!

Today’s card uses Altenew’s March Craft-a-Flower die set, Antique Rose. This beautiful die set gives you everything you need to make dimensional and beautiful flowers for your cards or scrapbooks.

For this card, I used pink card stock in different shades from Recollections at Michaels. The leaves are made with card stock  in three shades of green from various brands. For the happy birthday sentiment, I used the Spellbinders glimmer hot foil machine and a black foil.

I glued on the flowers and petals and trimmed the edges and added it to a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb smooth white card stock.

I loved the way this card turned out, it’s simple and beautiful. A great birthday card for someone special!

Magical Cards with Lawn Fawn’s Magic Picture Changer!

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by.

Today’s card was made by using the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture changer die set, the rectangular add-on and the oven add-on.

I absolutely fell in love with the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture changer die. At first I was a little nervous using it, but once you used it once and watched their great instructional YouTube videos for some helpful hints, it was easy to do it again and again.

With this card I used the Lawn Fawn - A Creature was Stirring stamp and die set. I coloured in the adorable little mice with Copic markers. I used Neenah classic crest 110lb smooth white card stock for the card base. The patterned paper is also from Lawn Fawn - Let it Shine paper pack.

I can’t wait to make more of these for Christmas this year! I think my favourite part of Lawn Fawn stamps and dies is all the little accessories they think of, tiny candy canes, a slot in the bowl to put the wooden spoon, etc.

Thanks for stopping by and stay safe my friends. Happy Crafting!
