Baking Critters Christmas Card!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card for you today features Karen Burniston's Postage Pop-Up along with the super cute stamp set from STAMPtember MFT - Love, Joy  and Cookies!

For this card, I started with an A2 sized side fold card base using heavy weight 110lb cardstock. I added some very pretty patterned paper from Echo Park called A Perfect Winter as my background.

I then die cut two postage pieces from Karen Burniston's Postage Pop-Up die set. I taped off each area and using Distress Oxide Ink to create backgrounds for each postage stamp. I then added some "snow" using Copic Opaque paint.

I stamped sentiments once my Distress Oxide backgrounds had dried using Karen Burniston's Sweet Treats and Season of Cheer sentiment stamps and Pink Fresh Studios Detail Black ink. I stamped and die cut the adorable critters from the MFT stamp set - Love, Joy and Cookies using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I then added two little critters to my postage stamps.

I used Karen Burniston's Holiday Charms and Winter Charms to add gingerbread cookies, a stocking and some snowflakes to my postage stamps.

I then added two 1.5" strips to each side of the card, using a pretty patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs called Winter Wonderland. I also added a strip of snowflakes using Karen Burniston's Long Nature Edges.

Lastly, I added a place to sign the card using Karen Burniston's Twist Panel Pop-Up!

For the front of my card, I kept the same design, adding two more critters and a Merry Christmas sentiment stamped on a label I die cut from Karen Burniston's Raising Platform Pop-Up.

Those critters along with the Postage Pop-Up make for one adorable card! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy Crafting!

Let it Snow Snowman Card - Waffle Flower Postage Card

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome. My card for you today uses Waffle Flower Postage Collage and Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Snowman Stencil to create this super cute Christmas card!

To start, I created an A2 sized card base using a dark blue cardstock. Then I created a background using heavy weight smooth white cardstock and the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Stencil to create the postcard dashes around the stamp area. I used Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Seafoam and Ocean. I then added some VersaMark Ink and Glitter embossing powder to the darker colored areas so they would sparkle.

I die cut the Postage Collage from the same heavy weight smooth white cardstock, making sure to use my Quickstick Tool to push out all the little circles around each postage stamp.

I then used the Snowman Stencil and Distress Oxide Inks to create the backgrounds. For the big snowflake on the bottom, I added VersaMark Ink and Glitter Embossing powder to make it sparkle! See the list below for all the inks I used.

I then used MFT - Elegant Folded Banner and die cut it from the same dark blue cardstock as the card base. I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder to add the "Let it Snow" sentiment to the front.

I stamped some stamp marks to the card before glueing on my "Let it Snow" sentiment using Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Stamp set.

This was my first time using this stencil set from Waffle Flower and love how cute these little snowmen turned out!! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!!

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - December 2024 - Happy New Year!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! It's our last Designer Challenge for 2024 and this year we are celebrating with a Happy New Year theme!!

For my card, I created a New Years fireworks display over a sailboat on a lake! What a fantastic way to ring in the New Year!

I started by making the card base, which is a 5 x 7 side fold card. I cut a rectangle 5x7 from smooth black cardstock, then cut a second rectangle 5x7.5. I scored this rectangle at the 7" mark, leaving a 1/2 in tab to attach to the other panel.

I then cut two more rectangles from smooth white cardstock, 1/8" smaller than my card base. Using Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot as well as MFT's Perfect Pool Water stencil, I created my lake background. I added two strips of pattern paper and gold paper down the sides of  my card.

I built my boat using Karen Burniston's Boat Pop-up as well as the Sailboat Add-On and Pirate Ship Add-On. I added embossing powder to the sails in black and gold.

I used acetate pieces to the backs of the sails to add the fireworks which came from Karen Burnsiton's Fireworks die set. I die cut these from various colors of glitter cardstock.

Lastly I added a place to sign the card. This came from the Paper Frames Pop-Up die set.

For the front of my card, I used the same patterned paper, then die cut the sentiment using Karen Burnsiton's Alphabet, Numbers and Mini Alphabet and Numbers dies. I also added more fireworks to the front of the card. I know the front is a little busy, but I love the crazy bright colors!

To see how I made this card, see my YouTube video below. Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Skating into the Holiday with Spellbinders!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! I have two cards for you today both which use Spellbinders July Small Die of the Month - Skating into the Holidays die. This fantastic die set comes with dies to create skates, poinsettia and beautiful foliage!

For my first card, I decided to make an A2 sized card base using a dark blue light weight cardstock from Michaels. Then I added some pretty patterned paper from Echo Park called A Perfect Winter.

I die cut an oval from heavy weight smooth white cardstock using Karen Burniston's Oval - Crosshatch dies and added it to the front of my card.

I die cut all the pieces from the Spellbinders die set from scrap cardstock in various colors, then added it all together on my card. I did add a little bit of Copic marker to the laces on the skates but kept the Copic coloring to a minimum on this card.

I added Glossy Accents to the berries and a Touch of Stella to the leaves on the poinsettia to add some shimmer to the petals.

For my second card, I decided to create an A2 sized Z fold card, using Lawn Fawn's Tomato cardstock. I then added some pretty patterned paper from Echo Park called Celebrate Christmas.

I then die cut two circles using MFT - Inside and Out Stitched Circle STAX and heavy weight smooth white cardstock. I die cut the skates and foliage from the Spellbinders Skating into the Holidays die set from smooth white cardstock and colored everything in with Copic markers. Then I created my centre piece and glued it down to one of the white circles I cut. I positioned this to the front fold of the card and glued it down using Lineco Neutral pH adhesive in a fine tip bottle.

I then added the second circle to the inside of the card so it lined up to the front circle. I stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card. Then I used Spellbinders Ribbon Banners to die cut a banner for the front of the card. I stamped the "Joy From Me to You" sentiment using MFT - Bitty Holiday Wishes, VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder.

This was the perfect die set to create a Z fold card with! It makes such a pretty arrangement! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
