Hello and welcome! Today's card was made for the My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge 609. I decided to use the MFT Housecats stamp set with coordinating dies. I have been dying to try this stamp set out and along with the MFT Cat and Plant Perches, I decided to make this card.
For this card, I started with a A2 sized card using heavy weight black card stock. I used Lawn Fawn's Let it Shine - Cream Sprinkle 'n Shine paper for the background. This is a two sided pattern paper, so I used the back side to create the bar across the bottom.
I stamped the sentiment "I've Got Some Great Mews: I Love You!" from the Housecats stamp onto the diagonal pattern paper using Pinkfresh Studios Hybrid Detail Black Ink.
I stamped the cats using the same ink and using my best friends pictures of her cats and some pictures online I could find, I colored the cats using Copic markers. I did the same with the plants. I die cut everything out and then before gluing, decided where I wanted everything.
I die cut the shelf from the MFT Cats & Plant Perches from scrap woodgrain pattern paper and added the shelf for the sleeping cat to lay on. All and all this is a very simple card, but those cats are just so super cute!
