Ham it Up! It's a Piggy Birthday Card!

Hello Everyone,

Today's card is from My Favourite Things stamp and dies set called Hog Heaven. This set comes with 5 different pigs for different occasions, birthday, love, missing you, etc. There is also an assortment of different sentiments, such as miss you pig time, you hog my heart and thank you sow much. It also has some decorator stamps such as flowers, cupcakes, and a fence.

For this card, I used Neenah Classic Crest white 80lb cardstock for the A2 card. I used a Lawn Fawn patterned cardstock for both backgrounds. I used the Blueprints 29 Die-namics from My Favourite Things for the frame around the pigs and for the white stitched background. I stamped the fence on to the cardstock and then colored it using Copic markers. Once it dried, I covered the fence and grass with rubber cement. Once the rubber cement had dried I used Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers and made clouds in the background. Then I used a rubber cement eraser and removed the rubber cement from the fence and grass. I die cut out the pigs and then cut the white edge that is around them off. I used Distress Oxide - Worn Lipstick on the sentiment background and stamped the Squeal sentiment and embossed it with black embossing powder.

I colored the pigs using Copic markers and added the white highlights with a Gelly Roll white pen. I also used the Gelly Roll pen to add the polka-dots to the bow in the one pig's ear. Inside I stamped the Ham It Up on Your Birthday sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
