You're the G.O.A.T - Fathers Day Card using Lawn Fawn's You Goat This

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome. My card for you today was created for Craft Roulette. This week was a bit challenging, but I finally did come up with an idea. For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's You Goat This die set, along with Lawn Fawn's Magic Iris Camera Add-On and Magic Spring Messages.

The parameters this week were:

  • Project: Include Action
  • Color: Northern Lights
  • Element: Blackboard(s)
  • Random: Oval
So for this card, I started with an A2 sized horizontal top fold card using heavy weight smooth black cardstock. I then die cut a stitched rectangle using MFT - A2 Stitched Rectangles STAX in the largest size. I created a cloud sky background using MFT - Cloud stencil and Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers.

I die cut the camera from three different colors of cardstock, blue, green and white, then added them all together. I chose these colors for my Northern Lights colors. I then created the Magic Iris mechanism from smooth white heavy weight cardstock. This is the "action" for my card.

I stamped the images from You Goat This using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink and colored them in using Copic markers. I then die cut the images out using the corresponding dies. I also stamped a speech bubble from Lawn Fawn's new All The Speech Bubbles stamp set. This is what I used for my oval.

I stamped the Happy Fathers Day sentiment for the centre of the camera lens, using heavy weight black cardstock and Lawn Fawn's Magic Spring Messages. This is my "blackboard" portion of the challenge.

I die cut the grass using Karen Burniston's Natures Edges die and stamped the "you are the G.O.A.T on to it using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black Ink.

This was my first time using the Magic Iris Camera add on and I loved it! I will defiantly be using this again. It was super easy to put together. Be sure to check out Craft Roulette on YouTube every Friday night starting at 7pm. Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting.
