Valentines Card Ideas with Karen Burniston's Fancy Label Accordion!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome. I took a couple of days off after the Blog Hop, Designer Challenge and 5 days of Sneak Peeks but I'm back and ready to get crafting! My card for you today uses Karen Burniston's Fancy Label Accordion and Heart Add-Ons. I made this card for my parents for Valentines Day. I am very very close to my parents and I like to give them special cards on holidays to show them how much I appreciate everything they do for me and my children.

For this card, I started by die cutting four Fancy Label Accordion pieces from a light pink heavy weight cardstock. I got this from Michaels, so I won't have a link below for it, but it was a pack with different light pink coloured cardstocks.

I then found some heart patterned paper in a paper pack also from Michaels. This was an old pack I had, so I'm sure they have something different now. But you can use any Valentines Day paper you'd like.

I die cut the Heart Add-On from red cardstock and then from white so that I could make the border around the Heart Add-On. If you want to see how to do this and also how to assemble this card, check out Karen Burniston's assembly video on YouTube by clicking here. I die cut all the hearts and other pieces I was going to use to make this card, including the new charms set called "Love is in the Air Charms". I cut these from scrap cardstock and white cardstock. For some of the charms, I coloured them in with Copic markers. The hot air balloon is made from different scraps of cardstock.

I began by putting the hearts together and then adding them to my Heart Add-On. I also added the white border around the add-on. I set this aside.

For the front Fancy Label Accordion piece, I added a red label to the background. I die cut a smaller white label and created a cloud background using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink and my Mini Clouds stencil from MFT. I stamped a sentiment to the bottom right corner using Karen Burniston's Love Notes stamp set and Detail Black Ink. Then I glued the background on top of the red label. I added the hot air balloon charm and some clouds.

For the last Fancy Label Accordion piece, I added another red label, then die cut a smaller white label. This time I stamped a sentiment on the bottom left corner using the same stamp set. I added the rose charm to the top right corner.

I did the same steps for the front of the Fancy Label Accordion card, adding another cloudy background, but this time, I added the large heart with wings charm to the front. I also added a couple of other hearts. I stamped another sentiment from the same stamp set.

I love this card and I can't wait to give to my Mom and Dad. I think they will love it! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Below is a list of the supplies I used to make this card. Happy Crafting!
