Craft Roulette Episode #188 - Go Wild Gift Card Pop-Up!

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome! Today's card was created for Craft Roulette Episode #188. The parameters for this card were:

1. Project: Gift Card

2. Colors: Coffee Shop

3. Element: Go Wild

4: Random: Add a Number(s)

I had all kinds of ideas for this card, including making a coffee shop that has gone wild with plants, but I decided to go for a kids card (which are always handy to have in stock). For this card, I used MFT - Picture Perfect Party Animals and Lawn Fawn's Flippy Flappy die set to create this gift card pop-up card.

For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using Neenah Classic Crest heavy weight (110lb) smooth white cardstock. I then die cut a rectangle from green leaf patterned paper and my largest MFT - A2 Stitched Stax rectangle dies.

I then die cut all the pieces I needed from Lawn Fawn's Flippy Flappy die set to create the pop out mechanism. They have a couple of great YouTube tutorials on how to use this die set.

I added the brown polka dot patterned paper on top, then started on my stamped images. I stamped the MFT - Picture Perfect Party Animals on the same heavy weight cardstock as my card base. Then I colored the images in with Copic markers. I tried to keep with the Coffee shop colors. I live in Canada so Tim Hortons is very popular here and their colors are red, white and brown.

Once I had all my images colored, I added some Glitter Gel and Glossy Accents to the images and set them aside to dry.

I didn't have a die that said "wild" so I plugged in my Cricut and created the word "wild". I cut it twice from smooth black cardstock and once from a glossy black cardstock, then glued all the layers together.

I die cut the word GO from Lawn Fawn's Oliver Alphabet using red and black smooth cardstock and gluing them together to add dimension to the word.

I also stamped the sentiment "it's your birthday" from MFT - Bitty Birthday Sentiments using smooth black cardstock and white embossing powder.

Once my images were dry, I glued everything down where I wanted it to go. Then I added my gift card.

This was my first time trying out the Flippy Flappy die set but I love how easy it was to create and I know I will be using this for Christmas gifts this year. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
