60th Anniversary Card using Karen Burniston's Cake Pop-Up!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card for you today is a special request card made for a very special couples 60th Anniversary. My gosh, 60 years together. That calls for a very special card!!

For this card, I started with an A2 sized card base using Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock. I dug through my patterned paper stash and found this really pretty heart paper. I used Karen Burniston's Rectangle - Crosshatch dies in the largest size to cut 3 rectangles (two for the inside and one for the front of the card) from my patterned paper.

I added the patterned paper to the inside of my card using double sided adhesive. Then I die cut all the pieces for my cake pop-up using Karen Burnistons Cake Pop-Up die set. I used a lightweight cardstock for this, because I didn't want it to be bulky. I used a cream colored paper, so that the white glitter trim on the cake would stand out. 60th Anniversary's are diamond anniversary's so I wanted to incorporate that as well. I glued this using Lineco Neutral pH Adhesive and a Fine Tip Bottle.

I used Karen Burniston's Cake Trims to add a ruffled edge around my cake. I die cut this from white glitter cardstock. Then I added small "diamond" embellishments to it. For the middle cake, I added bows (which comes with the Cake Trims die set) and the same embellishments to the middle of the bows.

I used Karen Burniston's Mini Alphabet and Numbers to die cut the 60 on the top of the card. I added a black background to the numbers, so they stood out more. I used the same white glitter paper as the cake trim.

Then I die cut a bunch of flowers from heavy weight white cardstock. For these flowers I used Karen Burniston's Flowers and Bee and Fun Flowers. I colored these in with my Copic markers. Then I added them to the card. I added white Stickles Glitter Gel to the flowers to give them a little extra pop!

I die cut a place to sign the card using the label die from Karen Burniston's Lorna Label Pop-Up die set.

I added the sentiment to the top using white glitter cardstock and black cardstock. I used Karen Burniston's Word Set 12 - Anniversary for this sentiment. Then I used her Wedding Charms to add the rings to the top of the card.

For the front of the card, I layered rectangles using the Rectangles - Crosshatch dies and the same white glitter cardstock. I added the "Best Wishes" sentiment from the Wedding Charms as well as the champaign glasses, which I added Glossy Accents to.

Then I added more flowers to the front to carry over the theme of the inside of the card.

I can't wait to see the reaction when my dear family friends receive their card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
