Karen Burniston January 2025 New Release - Sneak Peek Week Day 2 - Paper People!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! It's day 2 of our Sneak Peek Week and my card today showcases the new Paper People die set. This set comes with 16 dies and allows you to create all kinds of people! For my card, I used the Photo Fan Pop-Up along with the Paper People to create a family tree card!

To make this card, I started with a 5x7 card base using Lawn Fawn's Ground Coffee cardstock. I then added Echo Parks I Love Family patterned paper to the background. I added another piece of patterned paper from the same paper pack to the edges of the card, trimming them in gold mirrored cardstock.

I die cut the Photo Fan Pop-Up from light weight kraft cardstock and added the orange heart paper to it as decorator pieces. I glued that into my card using Lineco Neutral pH adhesive in a fine tip bottle.

I then created my family. I used the Paper People dies and smooth white heavy weight cardstock to create us, then colored everything in with Copic markers. I added the paper people to different backgrounds and then created a frame around them to look like photo frames. I did this by cutting the two squares from the Photo Fan Pop-Up die together and die cutting them to create the frame.

I die cut several branches and leaves from the Tiny Trees Pop-Up, using Lawn Fawn's Cilantro and Ground Coffee cardstock. I then used Distress Oxide Ink in Mowed Lawn to add detail to the edges of the leaves.

I then added the tree trunk, which I drew by hand and then added some bark detail using a Copic marker. I die cut two labels to add to the inside of the card. I used the Seasons Sentiment stamp and the Photo Memories stamp for my card.

The new release will be available on January 27th, 2025. Be sure to join in our Blog Hop as well for a chance to win a $25.00 online gift certificate! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
