Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! I have a fun Whirly Wheel birthday card for you today using Karen Burniston's new Whirly Wheel die set.
For this card, I started with a 5x7 card base using a light weight red cardstock. Then I die cut the round slit from the side of the card where the Whirly Wheel mechanism goes.
I created the background using Distress Ink in Antique Linen and Crackling Campfire along with MFT - Small Brick Wall Stencil. I made the floor by taping off the floor section and adding Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Latte and Cappuccino, then stamping a wood grain to the floor using MFT - Wood Plank Background. I die cut a slit where I wanted my Whirly Wheel arm to come out.
I die cut the Whirly Wheel mechanisms from a heavy weight smooth white cardstock and put them together, then glued them onto my card base. I added the card base, sliding the arm through the slot I die cut and placing it onto my card base using thin foam tape.
I used Karen Burniston's Oven Pop-Up and Oven Extras to create the oven and cupboards for my background. I also added some small oven pieces from Lawn Fawn's Magic Picture Changer Oven Add-On die set.
I stamped my images using MFT - Micest Friend stamp set and Pink Fresh Studios Detail Black Ink. Then I colored all my images in with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images out. Then I added them to my card. I also stamped a sentiment from that stamp set and add it to the bottom of my card. Check out how fun the Whirly Wheel makes this kitchen card below!
