Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - November 2026 - Fall Colours

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! It's Designer Challenge time again and our theme this month is Fall Colours. We didn't have to make a fall themed card, but I decided to get one more fall card in before I get to making Christmas cards. For this card, I used the Woven Basket Box Card die set along with the flowers from the Flower Pot Pop-Up die set.

For this card, I started by die cutting the basket base from dark brown cardstock. Then I found this great polka dot paper in my scraps with fall coloured polka dots. I put the basket together as per the instructions. To see how to do this, check out Karen's assembly video by clicking here.

I die cut three grass pieces and glued them into the inside of the basket. Then I die cut several flowers and leaves from the Flower Pot Pop-Up die set. I coloured them all using Copic makers, making them into sunflowers (my favourite flower!).

I glued the leaves in and flowers one at a time, so I could figure out where I wanted all the foliage to go. Then I die cut an oval shape using the Greeting Labels die set and stamped a sentiment on it with VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.

I placed a label on the back for a place to sign the card. This is a very simple card, but really pretty. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Below is a list of the supplies I used to make this card. Happy Crafting!
