Hello and Welcome! Today's card (or should I say cards) use Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Mum Honey Cuts die set. I just love Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers dies. They make beautiful flowers that could be used for any occasion. They also provide a Layering Guide on their website to show how each flower/leaf is put together. I made three different Mums for three different cards today.
For the first card, I made a yellow Mum with an orange center. I used a yellow cardstock, then went over each layer with Copic markers to create some depth. For the background of this card, I used my Glimmer Hot Foil machine and Spellbinders Essential Duo Lines Rectangles to create a gold foil border around the card background. This was foiled on to heavy weight smooth cardstock.
For the sentiment on the front of the card, I used Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords. I stamped the Thanks sentiment with Lawn Fawn's Lawn Fawndamentals jet black ink on heavy weight smooth white cardstock, then used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I stamped the "For Everything" sentiment on black cardstock using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder.
I trimmed any of the flower that had gone over the edge and then glued the background to a black card base.
For my second card, I made a deep magenta colored flower. I started with pink cardstock and used Copic markers to create all the details on the flower, bud and leaves. For the background of this card, I used MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die and heavy weight smooth white cardstock.
Just like the first card, I used Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords stamp and die set to create the "Hello" and "Sweet Friend" sentiment.
I made the background using the same Glimmer Hot Foil plates and gold foil. I added a Birthday Greetings sentiment from the Bitty Buzzwords stamp and die set.
I just love how all three of these cards turned out. I also love how versatile the Lovely Layers dies are. Any card, any occasion and any Lovely Layers flower. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
