Hello and Welcome! Today's card was a special order card through my at home business. It was for an 18th Birthday that also lands on Valentines Day. This card features Karen Burniston's Little Labels Pop-Up die!
For this card, I didn't want Valentines to overshadow the Birthday, so I went with some red hearts, but mostly colorful hearts, along with balloons and ribbons.
I started with a slimline sized card base from heavy weight smooth white cardstock. I used patterned paper from Echo Park called It's Your Birthday for the background.
Then, pulling colors from the background paper, I die cut the Little Labels mechanism from a light teal blue cardstock.
I added a different patterned paper for the background of each little label on the pop-up, using Lawn Fawn's Let it Shine paper. I added a second part of the little labels using smooth white cardstock.
I die cut the hearts that I put on the pop up from Karen Burniston's Heart Collage Pop-Up set. Then using the same set, I die cut several of the different sized hearts in different colors of cardstock.
I used Karen Burniston's Big Birthday Charms to create the balloons and ribbons. I added some Distress Oxide ink and white Gelly Pen to give the balloons some dimension.
I stamped the "Happiest of Birthday's to you" sentiment from MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder. Then I used the banner pieces from the Little Label Pop-Up to create the banner on the pop up.
I die cut the "18" from Spellbinders Birthday Wishes for Everyone die set using gold glitter cardstock and black cardstock, then glued them together to add strength to the glitter cardstock and give the 18 some dimension.
For the front of the card, I kept it simple, adding the remaining hearts I die cut out and adding a few more. I die cut the word Celebrate from Karen Burniston's Celebrate die. Then I stamped the "It's time to" from MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. This bright and cheerful card will hopefully make the recipients 18th Birthday a special one! Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
