Craft Roulette Episode #190 - Beach Please!

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome. My card today was created for Craft Roulette Episode #190. The parameters for this week were:

Project: Fancy Fold

Colors: Aquarium

Element: November

Random: 3 Item Cluster

So for my card, I created an accordion fold card using Karen Burniston's Fancy Label Accordion die set. I used colors that you would see in an Aquarium. November 2nd is National Jellyfish Day, so I added Jellyfish using Karen Burniston's Sea Charms. I added three Jellyfish together for my cluster.

For this card, I started by die cutting three of the accordion panels using Neenah Classic Crest 110lb smooth white cardstock. Then I die cut the same panels using this great patterned paper I had in my stock. It reminds me of the rocks on the bottom of an aquarium.

I then die cut additional panels from smooth white cardstock, so I could create the beach area and the underwater middle section. I used Karen Burniston's Tropical Scene to create the beach scene on what is the front of the card. I then used Karen Burniston's Word Set 16 - Beach Happy Hour die set to create the "Beach Please" sentiment. I used a glossy red cardstock and a glitter white cardstock for this sentiment.

I created the ocean scene in the middle panel, using Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire. I also used MFT - Perfect Pool Water stencil to create a water effect. Once I finished with the stencil, I sprayed the piece with my water bottle to create a neat water effect. I set that aside to dry while I created my Jellyfish. I die cut three jellyfish using smooth white cardstock. I inked them with Simon Says Stamps Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Lemonade, Sunbeam, Lilac, Orchid, Bubblegum and Sweets. I added Glitter Gel to the tentacles and Glossy Accents to the body of the jellyfish. Once dry, I added white dots to the body using a white Gelly Pen. Lastly, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Glossy White to the background to look like bubbles floating up.

For my last panel, I stamped a sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps - Inside: Snarky Birthday. This is a simple card, but the accordion fold card makes it look super fancy! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!!
