Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release - Sneak Peek Week Day 4: Animal Add-Ons 5

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to Day 4 of our Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release Sneak Peek Week. This new release has 12 new dies in it and will be available for purchase on February 19th.

My cards for you today uses the new Animal Add-Ons 5.

For these super cute cards, I used Karen Burniston's Pretty Springy Ball Box Template, Bitty Ball Pop-Up, Mini Gift Bag and the new Animal Add-Ons 5.

I created two boxes, using smooth white cardstock and pretty Easter themed patterned paper. To download the template for this box, click here

I then die cut the pieces I needed to create the pop-up animals using the Bitty Ball Pop-Up die set. I used white cardstock for the bunny and yellow for the chick. For the bunny, I colored in a pink belly on the front using Copic markers. I then die cut the pieces from the Animal Add-Ons 5. I used Copic markers and some craft chalk to create the face and ears on my bunny.

I added Glossy Accents to the nose of the bunny and once it was dry, I added some shine lines.

I then die cut the basket with the carrot and eggs. I die cut everything from smooth white cardstock and colored everything in with Copic markers.

I added the basket to the front of the bunny and then added the arms to hold the basket.

I added the whiskers to the bunny, using the whiskers die from Animal Add-Ons 1 and opaque heavy weight vellum.

I made sure that everything fit perfectly when folded down into the box. The box is 4.5 x 4.5 so you really have to double check that the arms, ears, etc can fit into the box bottom.

I glued the bunny down into the box using Lineco Neutral pH glue.

I then die cut the Mini Gift Bag using the same patterned paper as the thin strips of the box. I folded it and glued it into the box so that there is a place for a gift card.

I die cut the Happy Easter sentiment using the new Happy Easter die. I glued that into the box on top of the Mini Gift Bag.

On the top of the box, I added a square panel that came with the patterned paper.

I did the same thing for the chick pop-up box. I added Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Sunbeam and colored the edges of the Bitty Ball and all the little pieces that go around the pop-up.

I also used the new die set to create the egg shell top and bottom.

I added some blush to the cheeks of my chick using craft chalk.

Lastly, I used a white ribbon for the front of the chick.

These little pop-up animals are sure to be a hit for Easter. How adorable are they?!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to come back on Monday for Blog Hop Day for a chance to win a $25 gift card for Karen Burniston's website.
