Lawn Fawn Challenge #166 - Interactive Cards: Double Slider Surprise!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card today was created for Lawn Fawn's Challenge #166 - Interactive Cards. I have made several cards using their Magic Picture Changer and Magic Iris, but I have only made one card using the Double Slider Surprise. So I decided to use this die set for my Interactive card. I also used their "Yappy Birthday" stamp set.

For this card, I started by die cutting all the pieces to create the interactive card. I added a cloud background, using MFT - Mini Clouds stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Then I die cut the pieces from green cardstock and die cut grass areas. I glued these on to each panel. Then I put the interactive pieces together.

I then stamped my images using Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink and colored them in with Copic markers. You may know this already, if you've been checking out my blog long enough, but I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Angus. He's a big lovable, cuddly monster of a dog. So as I was coloring my dogs in from the Yappy Birthday stamp set, I thought it would be fun to add Angus to my card. With my pencil, I drew in the areas that would be white fur, tan fur and black fur and then colored them in with Copic markers. I love love love how he turned out. I die cut the images out using the corresponding dies. I then decided where I wanted all the birthday dogs to go.

Once I had my idea in place, I glued the images down. I then did some sentiment stamping around the card. For some of the sentiment stamping, I used my MISTI.

Then I cut a card base using smooth heavy weight white cardstock. I found some pet patterned paper in my stash and there was this awesome bright and cheerful patterned paper. I die cut two rectangles and added one to the front and one to the inside.

I then added double sided adhesive to the back of my interactive piece and added it to the front of my card. I die cut a smaller rectangle for the inside and stamped a sentiment on it.

I just love how this card turned out and having my own dog on the front makes it even better! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
