Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release - Sneak Peek Week Day 2: Lorna Label Pop-Up

Hello Crafty Friends, Happy Valentines Day and welcome to Day 2 of our Karen Burniston February 2024 New Release Sneak Peek Week. This new release has 12 new dies in it and will be available for purchase on February 19th.

My card today features the new Lorna Label Pop-Up along with the new Baking Borders.

For this card, I started with a top fold A2 sized card base, using smooth heavy weight white cardstock. I had this great gingham patterned paper, which I used for the inside and front of my card.

I die cut the new Lorna Label Pop-Up mechanism from a pink cardstock and added it into my card. I added a smaller white label to the pop-up and then added my details to the pop-up. I took the cupcake from the Cupcake Add-On die set to create a birthday cupcake. Then I die cut two Tiny Gnomes from smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I die cut the chef hats from the new Baking Borders and glued them onto the Gnomes to make them into little chefs!

I used the smaller rectangle label that comes with the new Lorna Label die set and stamped a sentiment onto it using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. Then added it to the base of the pop-up.

I die cut the cupcake border and the rolling pin border from the new Baking Borders using smooth white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I added them to the card, covering the line between the gingham paper and the confetti paper.

I used the Short Rectangles - Crosshatch die set to create a place to sign the card.

For the front of the card, I continued the same theme, adding more rolling pin borders. I used the same labels that come with the new Lorna Labels to create fun piece for the front of the card. Then I used the word "Sweet" from the You're Sweet die and added it to the card. I used a shiny red cardstock for this.

I stamped the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment onto black cardstock, using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. Then I added another chef's hat to the front.

How adorable is this card?! The Lorna Label is a great die set, very versatile and can be used for any kind of card.

Thank you so much for stopping by on Day 2 of our Sneak Peek Week. Be sure to check out all the fantastic cards are very talented Design Team has created. Happy Crafting!
