Craft Roulette - Episode 252 - Book Lovers Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! My card for you today was created for Craft Roulette Episode 252. The parameters for this weeks card were:

Project: Card for Teenager

Colors: Morning

Element: Fairy (Fairies)

Random: Bow(s)

For my card, I used Lawn Fawn's Little Woodland Library to create this book lovers birthday card!

I started with an A2 sized card base using a heavy weight white cardstock. I then added a green gingham patterned paper from Echo Park called Dots and Stripes.

I used Mama Elephants - Turn the Page die set to create the book. I die cut the cover from a light weight red cardstock and then the pages from heavy weight smooth white cardstock.

I then began stamping the scene. I used Pink Fresh Studios Detail Black ink and Gina K masking paper. I used Lawn Fawn's Little Woodland Library and Apple-solutely Awesome stamp sets. Once I had all my images stamped and masked, I created my background. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Tumbled Glass and Broken China to create my morning sunrise background. I die cut a circle from masking paper and added it to where the sun would be, then I used Waffle Flower Crafts small brushes to create the sunrise.

Once I had my background created, I removed the masking paper and colored everything in with Copic markers. I added Glossy Accents to the little library window and the apples on the tree. I added shine lines to my scene using a size 10 white Gelly Pen. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment.

I added foam squares to the back of the front page and the back of the book cover to make it pop up a bit. This was my first time using the Little Woodland Library stamp set and I love it! Those little critters reading are just too adorable! Thank you so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
