Karen Burniston Designer Challenge - Caffeinate!

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome! It's Designer Challenge time once again and our theme for May 2026 is caffeinate! For my card, I used the Rockin' Rectangle and the Coffee Cup Pop-Up to create this coffee themed card.

I started by making an A2 sized card base using a brown cardstock. I added some light brown gingham paper for the background.

I die cut the pop-up mechanism from the same brown cardstock as the card base, then added some patterned paper I had in my stash with little tea cups on it. I die cut the coffee cup from the Coffee Cup Pop-Up, trimming the tabs off so I could just use the cup. I used Copic markers to add some detail to the cup. Then I stamped a sentiment to add on the front of the card.

I added a trim piece for the left side. I left most of that area blank because I will be adding a gift card using glue dots there as I am giving this card to my best friend.

I added a scalloped trim to the top and one more little sentiment to the arm of the pop-up.

For the front of my card, I added two coffee cups from the Tea and Coffee Pop-Up. I used Copic markers to add some detail to each coffee cup. I added another stamped sentiment to the cup.

I die cut a coffee bean border to add to the bottom and another coffee themed sentiment. Some of these sentiments came from a stamp set from MFT called Coffee and Conversation.

I know it's not anything super duper special, but it's a little something to let my bestie know I am so thankful for her friendship. She's my rock.

Thank you for stopping by today. Below is a list of the available supplies I used to make this card. Happy Crafting and be sure to check out all the other amazing cards by our Design Team.
